Story

energetic 6 month old little girl and very protective over the house and who her person is. She eats 2 cups a day of dry food and snacks for training. She has been trained to not be aggressive with food. She wiggles her butt and stays in place and waits for you to say ok eat. Sometimes she may jump in excitement like a baby deer and knock the food down and she thinks it is raining dog food from the heavens. She is also being kettle trained at the moment and she has gotten better at letting me know when she needs to go outside. I got her when she was 2 months old. She is great with children but I don't recommend her being left alone with small children because she is still a puppy and she plays rough and likes to jump and knock them down. I have a 17 year old cat and she doesn't get along with at all.

Meet Iggy! This sweet old lady is sure to melt your heart with her big baby eyes and tail wags. Iggy prefers to spend her day snoozing away. She is quiet as a mouse and as calm as a couch potato. Her walk is more of a mosey and she prefers to move at her own pace. She loves other dogs and all people, and will bounce and play with others when she gets excited! She is as gentle and sweet as they come, although not much of a snuggler. She just wants a dog bed to snooze on. Iggy does have sensitive skin that requires some extra care to keep her from getting too itchy, but she’s worth it.

At 2 years old, I’m a lot like a curious 4-year-old toddler—sometimes cautious with new experiences, but I warm up quickly and adjust fast. I love to play. Fetch and tug-of-war are my absolute favorites, and when I get excited, I bounce around like a little antelope. I’m also very affectionate and enjoy spending time with people. I give great kisses and will never turn down a belly rub. Since joining my foster family, I’ve been friendly and gentle with everyone I’ve met. I already know several basic commands like sit, shake, and wait for food. I’m learning how to walk nicely on a leash, and I’m working on becoming fully housebroken. Right now, I’m learning to use a bell to tell my humans when I need to go outside. I’m kennel-trained and sleep happily in my crate at night and when my foster family is away. Even though I’m a bigger boy, I really appreciate being accepted as a lap dog—it’s my favorite place to be. I enjoy chew toys, especially the tough, indestructible ones.
