Very good boy Tennessee, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services, was one of the first dogs at the new Raytown Dog Park yesterday, and he was amazing! He did a great job with fence introductions, stayed close by off leash, and had a blast! He has been overlooked for months and has had zero interest. This guy is a fawn/white pit mix and around three years old. He does well with other dogs, has not been cat tested, and is calm and responsive to his people. The amazing staff at Laurel Pet Resort have been working with him on sit and he offers snuggles in return! If you'd like to know more about this wonderful, sweet boy, call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Rebel was removed with her poodle friends from a neglect situation and is now looking for a loving home. She did require hospitalization for her first few days, but she is doing amazing! She does well with other dogs, loves all people (including kids!), but has not been cat tested. She is still very much a puppy but is doing very well with learning how to walk on a leash, take treats nicely, sit, and shake. Just in time for the holiday baking season, we`d like to offer up Cinnamon. And while the spice is typically warm and bold, our Cinnamon is the shy and reserved variety. This scared boy lost a loving home due to housing issues and is scared and confused at the shelter. He`s trying hard to be brave and the volunteers and staff do all they can to help him feel secure, but what he really needs is a home with a family again. There is such joy in helping a dog learn that there are lots of caring people in the world. Cinnamon is reported to have been housetrained in his prior home and he has lived with older children. Like all our dogs, he would love to meet any potential doggy siblings before going home, and our shelter staff will help with introductions to ensure that everyone gets along.Cinnamon is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Hi! My name’s Houston. I'm a four-year-old boxer mix boy and kind of a beefcake at around 80 pounds. (I'd argue that it's all muscle, too.) One of the things I want most in a forever home is a human friend to hang out with, not doing anything in particular, just a couple pals spending time together. Wouldn't that be amazing? I'm a little shy at first, but if you'll give me a few minutes to get to know you, we'll be besties. And I promise to be your snuggle pup! Really, though, I’m way too smart to laze around 24/7. I know sit, down, stay, high five, orbit, between, and wait. Learning tricks is one of my favorite activities and I can pick up new ones in just a day or two. I love to run outside and play in water from the hose. In case I wasn't clear enough on that, I LOVE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!. My favorite game of all is tug of war. (I'll even let you win sometimes!) I’m kennel trained, house trained, and am good at being left alone. In fact, I do some of my best snoozing in my crate while I wait patiently for you to come home. I’d do best in a home with older children because I’m still learning how to contain all my excitement around the little ones. Since I've been looking for a home for a while, I think I'd prefer to be the only doggo so I don't have to share. I’ve got so much love to share and I absolutely cannot wait to meet you!
