andlt;br/andgt;Big boys donandamp;#39;t cry&#44 right? Well I certainly try to live by that motto&#44 but ending up all alone at an animal shelter can certainly make a guy a bit weepy. Iandamp;#39;m not gonna lie&#44 I was very scared at first&#44 but Iandamp;#39;m getting the hang of it here&#44 and I feel more like my old self every day. Hi&#44 Iandamp;#39;m Banner&#44 and I am approximately 6 years young. Iandamp;#39;ve got the sweetest eyes&#44 and the softest face that is chock full of funny expressions. Some of my new friends at the shelter are engaging me with games of andamp;quot;tugandamp;quot; and andamp;quot;keep awayandamp;quot;&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m getting to go on those fun andamp;quot;walkiesandamp;quot; with volunteers and staff. Iandamp;#39;m even learning some cool new commands - andamp;quot;drop itandamp;quot; is a new one&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m very good at it now. I definitely know how to sit for a treat&#44 and since I consider myself a pretty intelligent guy&#44 I know I could learn a bunch more commands if only someone would teach me. You perhaps?andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Not to spend too much time bragging on myself&#44 but I had such a great meet and greet recently. I was so well behaved&#44 good energy level&#44 so sweet and affectionate&#44 attentive to the adopters&#44 and I just wanted to soak in all the love and pets that I could. I was FUN! The adopters werenandamp;#39;t ready yet&#44 BUT&#44 that didnandamp;#39;t mean that I didnandamp;#39;t SHINE! Iandamp;#39;m really an angel in dogandamp;#39;s clothing. I even had an overnight at a staff memberandamp;#39;s house the other day&#44 and she said that I was a wonderful houseguest. I was into snuggling! I canandamp;#39;t help it&#44 Iandamp;#39;m a big love.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I think my very best new home would be one with older kids and one where I can be the only pet. Iandamp;#39;ve always considered myself the star of the show&#44 the center of attention&#44 maybe even the king of my castle. Iandamp;#39;d like to be somebodyandamp;#39;s baby. Wanna meet? He’s a shy, lazy big puppy that loves his walks, playing with other dogs, snuggling and sun bathing outside. Bear was abused by his last owner so he’s scared of everyone he firsts meets. Once he warms up to someone he loves to cuddle up next to them while he takes one of his many naps throughout the day. Since Bear suffered so much trauma with his last owner he’s still learning how to be a dog. He mimics his 2 sisters every move. They also are his best friends and safety blankets. Bear would need to be in a home with another dog. He would also do best in a home without a lot of commotion. Due to his previous trauma he’s very skittish of loud noises and a lot of movement. Bears owners are rehoming him because they are having a baby and have decided that they can't keep him now that they are going to be busy with the baby and having people over often, which is stressful for Bear as it takes him a while to warm up to new people. Bear is an extremely sweet dog that just needs a little emotional support and patience. He is smart and would benefit from continued training. This is Sosie, we found her curled up in a ball on the porch of a kids daycare. I brought her back to work (PAWS) with me to scan for a microchip. She had one, and I was able to get in touch with her owner. The owners said they'd come pick her up the following day because of not being able to get off of work before late at night, so I agreed to keep her overnight. After that day my calls were ignored. The owner has never reached back out to me and clearly dumped her on us. However it is their loss because she's a wonderful dog who deserves a loving home with an owner that truly cares for her and her well being. She loves people and loves to cuddle. She has not had one accident inside. She gets a little stressed in the car so I do make sure she's secured while driving or she'll try to get in the driver's lap. She has done well with all the dogs she's met. She also is good with kids. She's really an excellent dog. She needs some leash work, she is a puller and very strong, but she knows basic commands and is eager to learn and just wants to be with people as much as possible. July 24, 2024, 12:33 pm
