This is Lily, she came to us in rough conditions and needed lots of care. Now that she is healed she has opened up and shown us how awesome she is! She loves going on walks and loves every person she meets. She is quiet in her kennel and loves to be lazy taking naps on her bed as well. Lily would love to be shown how awesome life can be. She enjoys playing with other canine companions as long as they are not female, she doesn't like to compete for the boy's attention!

Marvin is a Big ham, around 7 - 8 years old,  who loves belly rubs and meeting new friends everywhere he goes. If you meet Marvin, he will likely sit on your feet to prevent you from walking away as he would prefer you stay and pet him for all of eternity. Marvin's life wasn't always belly rubs and chicken snacks, he was found by KCK animal control severely emaciated, absolutely skin and bone. He had sores all over his ears from fly strikes and was heartworm positive.  But Marvin is a trooper, he butt wiggled his way through all of his medical treatment and is now a whopping 75 lbs of love and cuddles. Unfortunately, He's still been waiting for a forever home for about 3 years! Marvin loves toys and loves to burrow in his soft blankets. He will do just about anything for a snack and really loves to go for walks. Marvin gets along well with dogs around his size as long as they are pretty respectful, he doesn't appreciate dogs that like to jump all over him right off the bat.  Marvin is potty trained from what we can tell as he keeps his room here at the shelter very clean! He’s a shy, lazy big puppy that loves his walks, playing with other dogs, snuggling and sun bathing outside. Bear was abused by his last owner so he’s scared of everyone he firsts meets. Once he warms up to someone he loves to cuddle up next to them while he takes one of his many naps throughout the day. Since Bear suffered so much trauma with his last owner he’s still learning how to be a dog. He mimics his 2 sisters every move. They also are his best friends and safety blankets. Bear would need to be in a home with another dog. He would also do best in a home without a lot of commotion. Due to his previous trauma he’s very skittish of loud noises and a lot of movement.  Bears owners are rehoming him because they are having a baby and have decided that they can't keep him now that they are going to be busy with the baby and having people over often, which is stressful for Bear as it takes him a while to warm up to new people.  Bear is an extremely sweet dog that just needs a little emotional support and patience. We saved her and haven't noticed any issues at all, not even so much as a limp! Meet Flurry! This sweet senior was running out of time after an organization saved him off the streets then ran out of funding to continue boarding him. We were told that he had never lived in a home and never knew what it is like to have a roof over his head - he lived a long life spent entirely out in the harsh elements. Flurry is an 11 year old bully mix who is super sweet and loveable. He came in with his older sister, but she unfortunately passed away while they were waiting for a Furever home. He is good with all dogs and people, he's just a big lovebug who loves to talk! He has been in a foster home for a few weeks now and is loving the lifestyle of a real home and family! Meet Sammy, an 11-year-old boxer/pit mix that came to our home through no fault of her own. Her owner (one of our closest family friends) passed away in a motorcycle accident in May. We agreed to help rehome her as we didn't want her even more confused by being placed in a shelter. She is full of energy, loves to play and run, and act as a true companion. Our friend was an avid outdoorsman devoted to Sammy, so she is accustomed to being a close companion. She enjoys being outside running or playing to burn off energy, going to the dog park or having land to run on, camping, hunting…you name it, if it’s outdoors, she loves it! She has been great with our young kids (4, 2, and 2 weeks) and our other two dogs - but we cannot attest to how she is around cats. What little paperwork we were able to find does indicate she had her vaccinations and dental in March 2023. Please help us honor our friend by giving his best furry friend a perfect forever home!

Murphy is a mature 5 year old boxer mix who lives up to his name. He is such a happy and goofy guy. His tongue doesn't always make it back in his mouth and sticks out next to his snaggle tooth...cracks us up! He absolutely wins over everyone he meets, and will quickly become your shadow at home. Since he is a seasoned gentleman, he is house trained and doesn't need to be kept in a kennel if you're not home. He's happy to just sleep on your bed while you're gone. Once he gets his excitement out from seeing you, he can walk leisurely with you around the neighborhood. Murphy adores kids but also thinks they want to play chase when they run. Murphy may not have love at first sight with other dogs, but can quickly become besties. He enjoys playing with dog friends who let him rule the roost. He can sleep or wrestle with the best of them! His future home would need to take care when feeding him around other dogs as he of course wants his food, and toys, all to himself. At his age, we think he's entitled! He must know humans don't like to eat dog food because he could care less about us stealing his food. He loves car rides and knows that his place is in the back. Murphy has spent time with a foster family who feels he has been one of their best fosters yet! There is a perfect place for Murphy, we just know it!
