Story
Meet Squishy! Squishy is a 3-month-old male bulldog mix and the name fits him perfectly. This boy is THICK and surprisingly heavy for his size, with that classic bulldog body that makes him extra lovable. He has a bulldog tail, but it seems a little confused. It’s still very much a bulldog tail, just a bit longer than expected, which only adds to his silly charm. Squishy is pure fun. When he runs, his whole body wiggles, and it’s impossible not to smile. He loves people, is full of playful puppy energy, and is still learning all the important puppy things like potty training, manners, and how to properly dog. If you’re looking for a goofy, happy puppy who will keep you laughing, Squishy is ready to join your family. --------------------------------- ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Story
Meet Jelly – The Squishiest Little Lovebug! Jelly is a 3-month-old female bulldog mix who is pure squishy perfection. We’re not exactly sure how big she’ll be when she’s grown. Her mom is around 40 pounds and short. Dad is a mystery (we suspect he may have been a bit bigger!), so Jelly could land somewhere in the medium range. What we do know for sure is that Jelly absolutely adores people. She loves rolling up to anyone she meets for attention, pets, and affection. She’s sweet, social, and full of that classic puppy curiosity. Like any baby pup, Jelly is still learning all the important things — potty training, manners, and how to properly “dog.” She’s making progress every day and will thrive with a family ready to help her learn and grow. If you’re looking for a lovable, squishy puppy to raise and adore, Jelly is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart. --------------------------------------- ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Story
Rocko is a lovable, playful, and affectionate 1.5-year-old pitbull mix who's ready to find his forever home. Weighing in at 100lbs of pure joy, Rocko has been living in a loving temporary home ever since he was found about 9 months ago. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and in great health. Rocko is incredibly friendly and social, he loves meeting new people and always has a big, goofy smile to share. This big guy is full of energy and thrives on daily exercise, especially long walks in the park. He's also a big fan of chewing new toys and will happily entertain himself with anything he can get his paws on. He likes exploring the yard and has even been good for bath time. While Rocko is wonderful with people, he would do best in a home without small or low-energy dogs, as his playful nature can be a bit overwhelming for them. Rocko is looking for an active, loving family who can match his zest for life and give him the attention and structure he deserves.

Story
Please contact Debbie (Deb@AmericanbulldogRescue.org) for more information about this pet.Age:5 Weight: 115 Location: Syracuse, NY Nicknames: Good with other dogs?: Yes. Can be reactive with some large male dogs Good with cats? yes Good with children? yes Activity Preference: Needs in-house activities, Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Champion couch potato IQ: Average Rocko's favorite things: Kongs or toys for hard chewers Squeaky toys Large bones Cheese strings/ american cheese slice Chasing leaf blowers, weed whackers, vacuums or anything that makes loud noise Rocko is good at: meeting people, behaving in the house, going for car rides, walking on a leash, playing Ideal home: a fenced yard Training Needs: other: crate training (has not been crated since 1 yr old) Health issues: Environmental allergies that affect paws/skin. He takes low dose of prednisone (~2mg) each day to help manage swollen paws. We also clean paws daily with diluted chlorhexidine and 'mud buster' cleaner. When flare ups are bad we get a prescription of Keflex from the veterinarian. He may respond well to allergy immunotherapy but we have not tried that yet. Meet Rocko Rocko is a big-hearted, 5-year-old American Bulldog who’s as sweet as he is strong. He’s fully house-trained, neutered, and loves spending time with people of all ages. Despite his impressive size, Rocko is a total gentle giant—affectionate, calm, and very aware of his strength. He enjoys a moderate amount of exercise—one good walk a day keeps him happy and healthy. Rocko knows his basic commands (“sit,” “stay,” “come,” “wait,” and “go”) but, like most bulldogs, he can be a little stubborn at times. He’s up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. Rocko does have mild environmental allergies that cause occasional paw irritation. To keep him comfortable, he takes a low daily dose of prednisone. This routine has worked well to manage his symptoms. When outside, Rocko should remain on-leash—he’s generally good about staying nearby, but his recall isn’t reliable once he’s distracted. He’s non-aggressive and has done well around other dogs, though he can sometimes be reactive toward large male dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who thrives on love and routine, Rocko might be your perfect match!
