My favorite place is wherever you are. I will join you anywhere in your home from kitchen to living room, or even wait at the door while you shower. I’ll remind you when it’s time for bed because no one wants to be too tired tomorrow!I prefer quiet and peaceful spaces for walks. I love to sit on a pile of freshly washed laundry and will greet you by standing and licking at the front door when you get home. You know I’m happy when I rub my wet nose against you while wagging my tail.I like napping with mature cats and will lovingly share my water bowl. Just as long as when they get crunchy feline treats I get one too! I can tolerate kittens but please help them learn my tail is not a toy!I don’t really chase a ball unless it’s stuffed with treats. I prefer to do my business in natural green spaces. So if there’s snow, please be sure to shovel out a patch of grass!When I discover something I need to explore further, I will bring it into my bed. So check there first if something is not where you left it. Here at the shelter, Blaze is scared and unsure, and it’s clear the world hasn’t given him much guidance so far. But the moment he feels safe, he leans in with a sweetness that makes you want to wrap your arms around him and tell him everything’s going to be okay. He hasn’t been socialized with other dogs, so he’s hoping for a home where he can be your one and only while he learns about life at a gentler pace. A year later, Tom and his siblings were placed on the euthanasia list, but they were rescued by Adogs just in time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Still feels a bit shy with human touch, but approaches with curiosity to sniff. Runs away if you try to touch him. Is gentle without any signs of aggression when approached by strangers. Comes closer to familiar people with treats. Can be touched and leashed when he is cornered. * With Dogs: Gets along well and plays only with familiar dogs. Is a bit wary of new dogs and does not mingle with them. * With Cats: Does not react to cats nicely. Barks if he sees them outside the fence. May chase or threaten them, so careful attention is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he currently resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: Only does outdoor pottying at our center. * Hygiene: Takes a bath nicely and accepts brushing well. * Walks: Has been trained at a dog training school, so he is a well-behaved walker! May be startled by sudden noise during walks, so care should be taken. Pulls a little on the leash and he’s undergoing training for this. * Car Sickness: Doesn't get car sick. * Nip: Has not bitten. * Bark: May bark when meeting strangers. * Like: Loves treats and food. * Dislike: May feel uncomfortable with too much touch or attention. Please take your time to approach him slowly.
