Champ is a 3 year old mixed breed with a super fun personality! This 62 lb mush is full of love. Champ loves playing fetch! Champ likes playing with stuffed toys but really lit up when a tennis ball gets pulled out. It was time to get serious and fetch is Champ's passion. His joy was evident, and we played round after round. Champ also knows how to sit for treats, but he'd rather sit for another throw in fetch and was good about bringing the ball back each time. His former owner said Champ lived as an indoor dog and is house trained and crate trained. He's also playful with kids of all ages. However, Champ really loves to play with toys but can have poor aim, so it’s probably best he goes to a home with older kids if any that can handle a rough player. Champ does best with dogs his size or larger! Champ is a great dog who's ready to be someone's best buddy! He is microchipped neutered and up to date on vaccines. Meet Wilbert, a handsome, short, and stocky Bulldog mix pulled into our rescue from a local inner-city shelter. This charming fellow is 8 years old and weighs a solid 75 pounds, with a personality that’s as big as he is. Wilbert gets along well with other dogs and is a friendly pup. He’s a smart cookie who knows the sit command and comes when called. He’s also crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. Despite his size, Wilbert has a surprising amount of energy and an almost comical obsession with tennis balls! He’ll chase them down tirelessly and might just try to carry around as many as he can at once, all while showing off his big grin. Wilbert does best in an adult-only home where his family understands that he gets spooked if people get too close to his face, so he needs an owner who respects this boundary. This American Bulldog/Boxer mix spent seven great years with his pet parents before his world was turned upside down by a toddler (Relatable, right?). While he has struggled to adapt to the antics of an unpredictable little human, Jackson remains a sweet, well-behaved Good Dog. He loves his crate and follows numerous commands. And get this: He dislikes walks almost as much as you dread carrying poop bags. Score! Jackson’s go-to activities are lying next to you on the couch or zooming around the backyard before soaking up some rays with a pro-level nap. His ideal forever home would feature adults, teenagers and a fenced yard. Could he share this place with another dog or a cat? Sure, but let’s take that nice and slooooow. Marley Girl (my foster dog up for adoption): Marley's body is still catching up to the size of her head. I suspect her head is bigger then her body because she's overloaded with brains and personality. If Marley was human she would be the type of person that screams "Bingo" even though she doesn't have bingo...just to be extra silly. Marley has been with me for approximately 3 months and has mastered being crate trained and housebroken. Marley has successfully completed professional training through a reputable daycare/board/training facility. She is trained off-leash, e-collar, transitional leash and basic commands. A fan favorite in her training program, she socializes well with other dogs and is established in their system if you need a place for her to stay when away. In the home environment with proper introductions Marley will enjoy the company of a dog sibling but she's also quite happy without one as well. No cats or birds. Marley loves to play hard but understands relaxation time and crate rest. She thrives for her own human(s). Her adoption fee is being covered and training will be provided for her new owner(s) at no cost. While Marley enjoys her walks she enjoys the freedom of a fenced in yard. She takes her job seriously of keeping squirrels out of the yard. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, weighing in at a lean/muscular 53 lbs, approaching 2 years old and having the most unique coat; Marleys beauty is appreciated more in person as photos don't do her justice. Her head is pitch black, body smokey grey, black stripe down her back, 4 white paws and smidgen of white on her chest. Her face is Boxer and Lab with a hint of "Pitty". And we say yes she has Pitty in her....its a "pitty" she was surrendered to a shelter, and its a "pitty" she doesn't have a person to call her own. Reason for surrender was family moving and unable to take her with them. Marley does not care for the sound of a vacuum or leaf blower so we crate her and she's content. Crying babies are not music to her ears either. Older children are acceptable humans in her mind. She travels well in a car. I have trained her to be tethered and rest in her bed during outings. Excitement goes from zero to 10 with water - she loves the hose, sprinklers and kiddie pool we have for her. Visits to the lake where she can romp is an activity she relishes, too. There is an adoption application process through the respective organization I'm fostering for as well as reference checks (veterinarian checks if applicable).
