American Bulldog puppies and dogs in Ridgewood, New Jersey

Big head. Bigger heart. 🥹❤️ Beefy Smalls was surrendered at no fault of his own, and we seriously cannot understand how this sweet boy ended up here. He is the absolute sweetest guy who loves everyone he meets! He’s even made some dog friends here and has done well with other dogs. 🐶💕 Beefy is about 2–3 years old, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccines. He’ll need the usual basic training, but this boy is SMART and so eager to learn. And the best part? It doesn’t take much to wear him out! 😂 After some playtime and fun, we can totally see Beefy becoming the ultimate couch potato, snuggled up next to his person. He’s got the giant head, the squishy face, the goofy personality, and a heart that is somehow even bigger. 🥹 He didn’t ask to be surrendered, but he’s ready for someone to give him the fresh start he deserves. Could Beefy Smalls be your new best friend? ❤️

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. 💙 Adogs Center Updates: @_adogs_ 1. Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped and heartworm negative. * Has been diagnosed with patellar luxation in both knees (Grade 2 on the left, Grade 3 on the right). Because of symptoms like lifting the leg while walking, he is currently taking medication. If the symptoms worsen, surgery may be required. 2. Rescue Story * Tom was rescued as a puppy with his four siblings from a dog slaughterhouse in Jeongeup and stayed at the Jeongeup Shelter. A year later, Tom and his siblings were placed on the euthanasia list, but they were rescued by Adogs just in time. 3. Basic Information * With People: Tends to approach even strangers but still feels a bit shy with human touch. Runs away if you try to touch him. Once he's comfortable, he’ll approach you from behind to sniff and stay by your side. Recognizes familiar faces even from a distance and will run up to greet them if he seems them outside the fence in the playground. Tolerates being picked up, but tends to stiffen up or squirm rather than relax in your arms. Is relatively calm when putting on a leash if done inside his kennel. * With Dogs: Gets along well and plays only with familiar dogs. Is wary of new dogs, barking at them. Can be nippy around dogs he doesn't know, so caution is needed. * With Cats: Barks if he sees cats outside the fence. May chase or threaten them, so careful attention is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he currently resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: Currently does pottying indoors and outdoor at our center. Shows marking behavior outside. * Hygiene: Takes a bath nicely and accepts brushing well. Needs desensitization training for nail trimming since he gets agitated and squirms a lot. * Walks: Has been trained at a dog training school, so he is generally a well-behaved walker! May be startled by sudden noise during walks, so care should be taken. Pulls a little on the leash and he’s undergoing training for this. * Car Sickness: Doesn't get car sick and rides in a car well. * Biting: Might bite unfamiliar dogs, so please be careful. * Barking: Used to bark at strangers when they visited, but now he rarely barks at them. Barks at unfamiliar dogs. * Likes: Loves treats and food. You can get closer to him through treats. Enjoys playing with balls. * Dislikes: Gets startled and struggles if you put a harness on him or grab him suddenly. Is also very sensitive about his paws and is uncomfortable during nail trims. * Personality: Is very shy. Although he’s curious about people, he’s not used to them and retreats if you approach him. However, becomes courageous and approaches shyly when treats are involved. Feels more comfortable around other dogs than people and plays very actively and well when hanging out with furry friends.

This handsome little boy is very stressed out in the shelter and would need time to decompress in his new home. We believe he is around 1-2 years old, 35-40 pounds, and we would recommend an adult only home. Jaxson can use some proper training as he has shown difficulty with the leash. 🤎🐾 MEET LULU — 61 LBS OF BRINDLE BEAUTY, ZOOMIES & UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! 🐾🤎 ✨ Big girl. Bigger heart. Absolutely NO idea how big she is! 😂💕 Meet Lulu, a gorgeous 10–12-month-old brindle girl who we believe may be a Boxer/Great Dane mix, although her exact breed is unknown. At 61 lbs, she's already a big, beautiful girl and we believe she's close to her full-grown size. But here's the thing about Lulu… she thinks she's about 10 pounds! 🤣 💔 FROM SURVIVAL TO SECOND CHANCES Lulu and her brother, Canelo, were found wandering the streets near the Texas/Mexico border. They were painfully skinny, hungry, and covered in fleas and ticks. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan couldn't stand to see them suffer and stepped in to help. Today, Lulu and Canelo are safe at a sanctuary in South Texas, and our rescue is stepping up to help find them the loving forever homes they deserve. ❤️ Now it's Lulu's turn to find her people! 🐕 SHE LOVES OTHER DOGS! Lulu absolutely LOVES her canine friends and would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog. She's an active girl who thrives on having a buddy to run, play, and share adventures with. And when we say run, we mean RUN! 😂 🏃‍♀️ Run around the property. 🐎 Gallop like a little horse. 💨 Get the cutest zoomies imaginable. 🔄 Do a few more laps for good measure! Lulu has energy to spare and is always ready for another round of fun. One of her favorite playmates at the sanctuary is a 30-pound dog. Lulu will come charging over, ready to play, only for her smaller friend to stop her in her tracks. And what does Lulu do? She rolls straight onto her back and shows her belly! 🥹 Despite her size, Lulu is incredibly submissive, gentle, and sweet with her dog friends. She has such a soft heart and a wonderfully goofy personality. 💕 A GENTLE GIANT WITH A LOT OF LOVE TO GIVE Lulu is the kind of dog who could make a wonderful companion for the right family. With her gentle nature, she may even have the potential to become a therapy dog with appropriate training, exercise, and assessment. She does need some continued training, though! Lulu sometimes jumps up on people because she's excited and doesn't realize just how BIG she is. Basic manners and polite greetings will be important for this lovable giant. 🍗 A LITTLE FOODIE WITH A BIG APPETITE! Lulu loves her food… perhaps a little TOO much! 😂 She eats from a slow feeder to help slow things down, and she may be tempted to investigate anything left on the counter. Counter-surfing could become her next hobby if her humans aren't careful! She'll need a family willing to manage food safely, maintain a consistent feeding routine, and continue teaching her those all-important manners. 🏡 THE GOOD NEWS? SHE'S ALREADY HOUSE-TRAINED AND CRATE-TRAINED! That's right! Lulu has a wonderful head start on settling into family life. 🐱 She's seen cats from a distance but hasn't met them up close. Given her sweet, gentle personality, we think she may do well with cats, but a careful introduction and proper supervision would be essential. 💦 She LOVES hopping around in the doggy pool to cool off before heading straight back to her favorite activity… Galloping around! 🛋️ And after all that running? Lulu believes she deserves a spot on the couch, preferably snuggled right up against her humans. In her mind, she's still a tiny lap dog. Who are we to argue? 🤎 🌟 LULU'S DREAM FOREVER HOME We're looking for a family who will: • 🐕 Have another friendly, playful dog for her to enjoy. • 🏃‍♀️ Provide plenty of exercise, running, adventures, and opportunities to burn off her energy. • 🎓 Continue her training and help her learn good manners. • 🍽️ Manage her food and help her develop better mealtime habits. • ❤️ Understand that beneath her big body is a gentle, goofy, affectionate girl. • 🛋️ Make room on the couch for a 61-pound cuddle bug who thinks she's pocket-sized! Lulu has already experienced hunger, hardship, and life on the streets. Now she deserves a life filled with full food bowls, fun adventures, canine friendships, cozy naps, and a family who will love her for the rest of her life. She's goofy. She's gorgeous. She's gentle. She's a little bit of a handful in the most lovable way. And she's ready for her happily ever after. 🥹🤎 Could Lulu be the missing piece of your family? Please consider giving this beautiful girl the forever home she's been waiting for. 🐾💕 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org LuLu is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. 🐾💗 MEET DONNA — THE FUN-LOVING, WATER-LOVING, SLIGHTLY MISCHIEVOUS GIRL WHO JUST WANTS SOMEONE TO PICK HER! 💗🐾 🥹 She's the LAST of her litter still waiting for a forever home. She's been overlooked for MONTHS, and it's time for Donna to finally have her happily ever after! Meet Donna, a gorgeous 10–11-month-old girl weighing 43 lbs. We suspect she may be a Plott Hound/Bull Terrier mix, although her exact breed is unknown. She's believed to be fully grown, which means she's the perfect medium-sized companion for someone looking for a little adventure, a lot of love, and plenty of laughs! But Donna's story is about more than her adorable personality. 💔 🏡 A PROMISE THAT FELL THROUGH Donna and her siblings were taken in by a kind facility when they were tiny babies because a rescue had promised to take them all. Unfortunately, that rescue never followed through on taking every puppy, leaving the facility to care for the little ones. One by one, Donna's siblings found homes. But Donna was left behind. She's now been at the sanctuary for approximately EIGHT MONTHS, watching other dogs get their chance while she continues to wait for someone to choose her. Our rescue has stepped in to help Donna find the family she's always deserved. ❤️ And trust us… this girl has SO much love and personality to offer! 😂 A LITTLE CRAZY, BUT THE BEST KIND OF CRAZY! Donna is a fun-loving, goofy girl who keeps life interesting! She's very food- and treat-motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. She wants to please her people, and she knows when she's been a little naughty. In fact, when Donna realizes she's done something she probably shouldn't have, she'll look at you, waiting for the mom look… and then WALK HERSELF OVER TO HER BED like she's putting herself in time-out! 🤣 PLEASE. How can you not love that?! 💕 YOUR SHADOW, YOUR PEOPLE-PLEASER, YOUR BEST FRIEND Donna is incredibly sweet and loving. She loves following her humans around and being their little shadow. She wants to be involved in whatever you're doing, whether that's going for a walk, heading out for an adventure, or simply relaxing at home. She's also quite the self-appointed doggy referee! When other dogs are playing, Donna likes to jump in and try to supervise the situation. The only problem? Nobody seems to listen to her! 😂 She's got the heart of a helper, even if her management skills need a little work. 🚗 WHO'S READY FOR AN ADVENTURE? Donna LOVES car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy! Want to explore a new walking trail? She's in. Want to take a leisurely drive? She's ready. Want to enjoy a day out and then come home for a couch cuddle? That's her kind of schedule! She's leash-trained, crate-trained, and house-trained, so she already has some wonderful skills to help her settle into her new home. 💦 WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR ABOUT HER POOL PARTY TRICK! Donna LOVES water, and when the zoomies hit, all bets are off! She'll race over to the doggy pool, jump right in, put her muzzle underwater, and BLOW BUBBLES! Yes, actual bubbles! 🫧🤣 It is apparently the cutest thing ever, and we can only imagine the entertainment this girl brings to the sanctuary. Who needs television when you have Donna?! 🐕 HER IDEAL HOME Donna would love a home with another friendly, compatible dog. She enjoys canine company and would be a wonderful addition to a family ready for another four-legged friend. 🐱 She hasn't been cat-tested yet, but the rescue can arrange a cat test for an interested applicant. 👧 She is expected to be a great family companion for children, with appropriate supervision and introductions. 🏃‍♀️ She would love opportunities to run, play, explore, and burn off some energy. 🛋️ But don't let that fool you! Donna is also a certified couch potato. Her ideal family is a beautiful mix of active and lazy. She wants adventures and playtime, but she also wants to relax at home with her people. After all, somebody has to work off those extra couch-potato calories! 😂💗 ❤️ WHY HAS NOBODY CHOSEN DONNA YET? We honestly don't know. She's sweet. She's affectionate. She's playful. She's eager to please. She's got the funniest little personality, loves car rides, enjoys other dogs, and has already mastered important household skills. Yet she's been waiting at the sanctuary for eight months. Donna doesn't need to be perfect. She just needs someone willing to see how wonderful she already is and help her continue growing into the amazing dog she's meant to be. She's spent most of her young life waiting for her turn. LET'S MAKE DONNA'S TURN NOW. 🥹💗 If you're looking for a loving, goofy, adventure-ready best friend who will follow you everywhere, make you laugh every day, and happily curl up beside you after a busy day, Donna could be your girl. 🏡 PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING DONNA! And if you can't adopt, please SHARE her story. Let's get this beautiful girl out of the sanctuary and into the loving forever home she's waited so long for. Eight months is long enough, sweet Donna. It's time for your family to find you. 🐾💕 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org Ebony is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
