My husband and I are moving to Europe on orders, and he is unable to go with us. Not for lack of trying, we literally tried everything to get him to come. I spent the past six weeks working to find him a good home, which I did. The family drove up five hours to meet him and backed out due to their landlady saying no to his breed. I have frantically been trying to figure out what to do since we get on a plane on the 15th of September. If I didn't just have a baby, I would stay behind and figure it out, but I simply can not do that. He is not good with kids under 10 because he's very jumpy and mouthy. He is very selective about which dogs he gets on with. He gets on with our other dog, and used to live with a male pittbull with his previous owners who we rescued him from. He is amazingly sweet towards my four month. He likes to snuggle with him. Tank loves butt scratches, laying in the sun and eating raw veggies. He is a wonderfully sweet boy who deserves a chance.

It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! As a senior dog there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. Being close to others helps remind me that I am here and my story is still being written with infinite possibilities. Perhaps you and I could write the next chapter together? Bravo is my name, now that indicates two things- either, BRAVO!!! Great dog!! OR, Bravo that comes after Alpha and before Charlie. Phonetically speaking- it could be EITHER! I hail from the great city of Laredo, via the high kill pound they have. I did arrive at the rescue with my buddies Alpha and Charlie. Those two are LONG ago adopted, and I am STILL waiting! You know, it is ok because I need a very very special family and will wait for that family to come along... I am a nervous boy at first so will need a family who will give me time to get comfortable and play, I need a buddy to play with, a happy and outgoing, confident pup or dog. Meatloaf... its whats for DINNER!!! I will take a side of mashed taters and some GRAVY too :) I am actually the puppy, formerly known as HAMBURGER, but mixed with some love, spice and a little ketchup and turned into THIS BIG HUNKA LOVE!! (with a side of cute and silly too) I have a big heart and a big personality too. I want to be someone's really really good friend, and guess what?? I am even BETTER on the second day! Put a slice of Meatloaf between two slices of bread with more ketchup and you are feasting again for lunch! Anyway, enuff about food.. I am seriously getting hungry! The kind of hunger that can only be satisfied with a REAL FAMILY like yours! I am sweet and happy, I am goofy and happy and I am squishy and happy too! So if you have not figured it out yet... I AM HAPPY!!! I am pretty good with other dogs, I can share... if I have to!! I am kind of a couch potato, if you are into napping I am down with that. I can hike and do active stuff too, if you are into that. But just like after eating a big meatloaf sandwich, the best thing to do is to take a nap :) So look me up, here are my stats- I am lovely, and a solid 72#. When my patches get their OWN patches, then we have a problem...... I am PATCHES, and as you can see I have PATCHES all over me ;) I actually am a very very good looking guy, I have half a white face and the rest is black patchwork, but it makes me look like the "Phantom of the Opera"- complete with the COOL music!! I haven't always been this cute.... well, OK yes I have, but what I mean is, I haven't always been this healthy and happy. I came from a small, super high kill shelter in East TX with basically NO HOPE of getting out alive... but the RESCUER from San Antonio said, "WE will take him" BING!!! Just like that my life had a NEW meaning! My hot dog lady calls me, her "bestest boy" and I LOVE to love her! She gives me all kinds of hugs and takes me out for walks in the river and puppuccinos and I am just like her bestest friend! But she cannot keep me forever, she wants me to find MY OWN BESTEST HOME!! Now I just gotta find my forever family, so if you are them, fill out the application and lets get going! Are your nights getting ruff and lonely? Need a partner to keep an eye out on ya? I got your left, cause I'm Lefty! As you may be able to see, my right ear has disappeared!! Kind of like magic but with lots of blood/infection and no one really knows what happened to it cause I was found like that :( But don't feel sorry for me, I was SAVVEDDDDDD!!! And my ear was completely cleaned up and fixed and I still have an intact ear canal so no deafness here!! AND I'm just a big, huggable, goofball who needs a home and some love! I'm like a traditional Labrador; food motivated, eager to play, and a big cuddler. I probably have some American Bulldog in me cause I am SOLID :) Maybe we can hang out on the couch and eat some snacks together- you KNOW I love snacks!! I was heartworm positive when found in March, but I have completed treatment! I am READY for you so hurry up and adopt me!! I am great with kids, other dogs and pretty much everyone I meet. In fact, I was in a HUGE HUGE HUGE parade for Fiesta in San Antonio and I was the HIT of that parade!! My finder was SO generous and wanted to put money towards my adoption fee! Part of the fee will be sponsored if you decide we could be best friends! I am waiting.... hurry up......you won't regret it!!
