Sweet Pea is currently being fostered in Tacoma, Washington and would love to meet you! Sweet Pea had a rough start to life, she was found on the streets eating garbage on the side of the road. Sweet Pea was covered in motor oil, which her previous owners likely assumed would cure her sarcoptic mange and unfortunately, this home remedy caused more harm than good. Sweet Pea had a raging skin infection that affected her eyes, ears and caused permanent scarring to her skin. We also quickly discovered she had heartworms. Luckily, Sweet Pea was rescued and taken into a loving foster home that helped her heal into the gorgeous, goofy girl she is today! Sweet Pea is as sweet as her name implies! This goofy hippo is a happy go lucky girl who just wants to snuggle with her humans! Hank is a big lover boy that will be your best friend if you feed him and let him cuddle with you. He has been a great dog, but unfortunately he has developed aggression towards children after the birth of our second daughter. He has been fixed since then and that mostly fixed the issue, but he just isn't comfortable around kids anymore and we need to find a better situation for him in a child free home. Hank is a big dog (130lbs) and very strong so needs an experienced dog owner used to larger breeds. He has been through doggy boot camp, responds well to commands and walks well on a leash. No health issues besides some seasonal skin allergies common with this breed. He is used to being around our two older female dogs, but can be aggressive to other dogs as he was attacked by a dog when he was a puppy, but he loves all people. Hank loves going on walks, eating snacks, playing with his soccer ball, getting rubs and sleeping on the couch.
