Story
Russell is a great dog who got the wrong owner he needed attention that in my naivety I neglected to give him. He listens really well knows sit lay and roll over but he does have a case of fear aggression he is an extremely protective boy for his person and while I can bring him around new people someone with more experience would be better able to get a handle on that he can adjust to other/new dogs but it takes time he might better adjust if I’m not around because he is overly protective of me.

Story
Meet Cupcake, a great all-around dog! She was found by a county deputy on the side of the highway, where she was cuddling her dog friend who had been hit by a car. The cop actually thought she had been hit also because she was laying with him after he had passed! We think they were both dumped. Cupcake really needs a best friend to snuggle with! Her ideal would be someone who works from home with at least a small fenced yard. She just wants affection and would love to host doggie play dates and then crash out on the couch. She is a moderate energy level. Cupcake is good with adults, children and other dogs. Really, a great pup! Thank you! And Cupcake thanks you, as well! Story
Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 180. She is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! As a senior dog there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. Being close to others helps remind me that I am here and my story is still being written with infinite possibilities. Perhaps you and I could write the next chapter together? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Turbo I was searching for a cheesy pick up line to use, but cheesy pickup lines, do not actually contain cheese....how do the human says....ironical. My name is ironical too, they call me Turbo but I cannot go turbo speed. When I was at the city shelter they took a video of me nudging my pink leopard print blankets around to make a little nest. From this video you could determine that my back legs did not seem to be opawrating at 100%. They thought, easy peasy pumpkin spice squeezy, he probably just needs FHO surgery and he will be good as new. Wrong. Before being taken to animal control, I must have endured a trauma to my head. This left me with some neurogoggleical, newrologsiscal, neurological challenges. I can walk and romp like the best of 'em, until finally my back legs just kinda give up and refuse to agree with me. Navigating steps and stairs is a big whoa, but with a little guidance, I can do some low steps. I need a one story house without a lot of stairs. Or a home with no stairs at all would be really ideal! The volunteers ordered me some socks to walk on smooth floors, I prefer carpet but I can manage both. I love everyone I meet. But due to my head trauma I appear cross eyed and have limited vision. In order to recognize a dog or a people, I have to get right up in their biz and sniff them. Some dogs find this action annoying but I can't help it, when your eyes don't work, you gotta use your snoozle. Therefur, I need a home with dogs and people that don't mind my personal space invasions. I am a space invader??? I thought I was a Pitbull??? My physical challenges make for some really comical moments. When you holler my name, I come running full-ish speed. My brakes don't work. I usually make a Seinfeld Kramer style entrance. I love to hear my name and be loved on, my run might be silly, but I feel like a white knight galloping in on a fierce stallion. You just have to use your imagination. The hope is that with lots of practice, my legs will get stronger and more coordinated. I need a home that understands that I might not ever be able to climb mount Kilimanjaro or even a mole hill. The nice thing about me is that I am quiet, don't bark, and never react poorly to any dogs or people, except for nipping a finger or two when taking treats, because my aim is off and dang it, I am just excited about the weenie. I can't see the weenie, but I can smell the weenie, so I just go for it. And in all honesty, finger tips and weenies are the exact same color. Sawry! I need an adopter or foster than won't mind helping a guy up into the vehicle or onto the couch. Remember, I can't navigate too many ups and downs, so flat grippy surfaces are best. I am voice activated and will follow you to the ends of the earth if you talk to me, whelp, maybe not the ends of the earth, but at least from the bedroom to the kitchen for a weenie. Do you want to be my friend? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Miko is truly an experience that fills your heart with love and compassion. From the moment he was rescued approximately at six months old, it was evident that he had endured a difficult start in life. He was discovered in a state of poor health, burdened by fleas and even had a wire wrapped around his neck. This unfortunate past has left Miko with a timid nature, as if the world had not always been kind to him. However, once you earn his trust, you are welcomed into a world of the biggest and sweetest personality imaginable. His ability to play with other dogs is a testament to his resilient spirit. Regularly attending daycare allowed him to socialize and form meaningful connections with his furry companions. However it is crucial to acknowledge that Miko's past experiences have left him easily scared by loud noises and sudden movements. As a result, he may not be best fit for households with young children who may inadvertently cause him distress.  Miko's gentle nature shines through, as he has never displayed any signs of aggression towards anyone. If we were to summarize Miko's essence in just three words, they would undoubtedly be loyal, gentle, and playful. He has proven himself to be a loyal companion, always by your side through thick and thin. His gentleness radiates from him, making him an absolute joy to be around. And his playful nature brings endless laughter and happiness to those fortunate enough to share their lives with him. In terms of his overall well-being, Miko is a picture of health. He is both crate and potty trained, a testament to his intelligence and adaptability. Additionally, he has been neutered and is up to date on all of his necessary shots.  The only minor obstacle he faces is mild allergies and dry skin, which are effectively managed through the use of soothing coconut oil. In conclusion, Miko is a remarkable companion who deserves all the love and care in the world. His journey from a troubled past to a bright future is a testament to his resilience and capacity for forgiveness. Opening your heart to Miko means inviting an unwavering loyalty, a gentle soul, and an endless source of joy into your life. He is a true gem, ready to embark on a new chapter of love and happiness with a forever family. We offer transport from Houston to the Pacific Northwest every two weeks.  And guess what? We've got some exciting news for our friends up in the Great White North! We've got a special stop in Bellingham, Washington just for you, our lovely Canadian residents to drive to. So, if you're interested in adopting the one and only Stella, head on over to our website at www.springbranchrescue.org. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this little ball of energy and laughter! If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance.  For more info visit www.springbranchrescue.org ##1968778##
