This big girl was found in the middle of nowhere, it took us 5 days to capture her, as she was afraid. Once in our hands, she understood that nothing was wrong and gave us her trust. She is a big goofy girl, she doesn't measure her strength and is great for a very active person who likes to run around and play ball. Holly deserves lots of love and loves to receive it, we know her looks can be intimidating but she is the cutest and most adorable little girl you will ever meet! She is learning to sit to wait for her food, but she is just too playful and bouncy! Always with lots of energy and love to give. Meet Cupcake, a great all-around dog! She was found by a county deputy on the side of the highway, where she was cuddling her dog friend who had been hit by a car. The cop actually thought she had been hit also because she was laying with him after he had passed! We think they were both dumped. Cupcake really needs a best friend to snuggle with! Her ideal would be someone who works from home with at least a small fenced yard. She just wants affection and would love to host doggie play dates and then crash out on the couch. Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 16. He will thrive in a home where he can be active, he loves to run around, go for walks, and would make an excellent outdoor activity partner. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, roam and play. Cody is UTD on shots, has had a dental, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Meet Bernie! He is a 8-year-old, 46 lb English Bulldog who is looking for his perfect forever home. He is currently living in a foster home, and this is what his foster has to say about him… Bernie is an excellent companion. He has a calm, sweet demeanor and loves pets and affection. He moves slowly and has some arthritic legs and/or hips and will need to be in a single story home without steps. He loves to go outside and to explore the perimeter of our yard or to get a drink of water. He has done well when crated but prefers to be lounging in a dog bed when we are around. He sleeps in the crate at night just fine and only barks when he needs to go outside. He gets along great with our other dogs (we feed them separately to avoid guarding or negative interactions) and is great with small kids (we have a 4- and 6-year-old). Bernie arrived in our care with an anal gland abscess which his foster has been caring for and is healing. He will need a bulldog experienced home that can care for his ears and eyes and continue with the care for his anal gland abscess. Cleaning his face, folds, eyes, ears and anal glands are paramount to his health. Bernie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. HIs fee is $200
