Story
Name: LaylaBreed: Pitbull mixAge: 5 years oldDogs: NoCats: NoKids: NoI'm Layla! Let me tell you a little bit about myself:At 5 years young I have plenty of zest for life! I love spending time with my people, whether it be getting some cuddles and butt scratches, going for car rides, getting my zoomies out in our expen, playing with the hose; I love water, or my absolute favorite thing, going on walks, I'm not hard to please! I prefer an introverted lifestyle, minimal foot traffic at home and low-key quality time with my humans, I'm not big on crowds or large social events. Don't get me wrong, I love to have fun and have quite a goofy personality around my people. I tend to have a small circle of friends as I am a bit apprehensive and unsure of new people, so I do take a little time to warm up to new friends, but my peeps at MHS say I'm doing quite well, I'm quite the cuddle-bug when I am comfortable! Sadly it's difficult for me to keep up with my house-training in a shelter environment so I'll need someone who has the patience and time to help me acclimate once in my forever home. I really would prefer to be the only animal in my new home, because I prefer a quiet environment where I can enjoy my people and get all the attention. I am spayed, micro-chipped, and UTD on my vaccinations. My friends at MHS are loving on me while I hang out at the shelter, but I'm really getting bummed seeing so many of my friends going off to their forever homes, while I sit and wait patiently wondering when my turn will be. If you are interested in meeting me and think you can give me the time, unconditional love, and home I need, please fill out an application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

She’s also quite the fan of chasing down tennis balls, and loves her true chew treats! No other animals for Lady, as she has high prey drive. No kids as she prefers an adult only home. Lady is microchipped, utd on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Lady the forever home she longs for, please apply today!!

Story
*Pearl's adoption fee has been sponsored by a previous adopter!* Meet our very pretty white pup named Pearl! Pearl is about 10 months old and she came to our shelter after she was found wandering in town. Unfortunately, it was very clear to us that Pearl was severely neglected before coming in to our care. She was emaciated, with every bone sticking out of her body. Despite her horrid condition, Pearl was a sweet little soul from the day she walked in. She has since started steadily gaining weight, and she is very outgoing! Pearl definitely has a puppy personality with lots of energy! She is a jumping bean, but she will sit for a cookie and listens to correction. She can be a little mouthy, but giving her a toy helps with that. She is a very playful girl who will make a family very happy! Pearl is a cuddle bug who is ready to get right in your lap on the couch. She is very food motivated and will come around for treats quickly! Pearl is good with other dogs and she can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Pearl, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee has been sponsored! PLEASE CHECK YOU EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
