Story
I can’t believe I even have to do this but I’m looking for a really good home for my dog. She’s housed trained she doesn’t use the bathroom in the house, she doesn’t chew things only toys she a really good dog. She doesn’t like the rain or wet grass and she loves sleeping in her cage with the door left open and she loves sheets. She’s good with big dogs not little ones and she doesn’t really like cats either. Remy would like to be the center of attention so a house with no little kids is preferred she does good with older kids. My daughter is really scared of all animals we had to rehome my cat and I tried to give it time but she just to scared of her. I would like for Remy to have a home with a backyard so she can run around something I haven’t been able to give her cause we live in an apartment building.

Story
Kali is 4 years old. Has been raised around young children including a new baby when she was a few months old. We got her as a new puppy. She is very gentle with the children. She is NOT a guard dog, loves company and wants to play with people. She does initially get excited when company comes but calms down fairly quickly. She may jump up but not aggressively, she wants hugs. I am sure she can be trained to not do that i just have not had the time to invest. She has never been aggressive but will bark at dogs walking by when outside in the yard. She hasn’t really been around many other dogs up close so I am not sure how she will interact with them. She is quiet in the house, rarely barking (she actually startles us when she does). She does try to “talk” when she wants something. She is house/crate trained. She sleeps in her crate most nights and often naps in there during the day (door left open) We are moving and i am working a LOT and just want her to have a happy home.

Story
Martha was found as a stray by one of our longtime supporters. She is a friendly, energetic girl looking for an active family. She has the biggest smile and greets her fosters and new folks with a big, happy smile. Martha LOVES people and would love a home where she will have kids to play with her. She is the absolutely perfect family dog, specifically a family who has no other cats or dogs. Martha doesn’t much like sharing attention, so we’re looking for a home where she will be the one and only pet. Martha is about 4-5 years old (maybe younger) and weights 45 lbs. She is spayed; vaccinated for rabies, distemper, and bordetella; microchipped; and recently tested negative for heartworm. Martha is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To meet Martha, please complete an application at: www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org Adoption donation $500

Story
GUNNER IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Gunner!  Gunner is about 2 years old and weighs 75 pounds. He “identifies” as a 5lb lapdog and his foster mom’s weighted blanket. Gunner thrives on human attention and will happily sit in your lap – even if he’s a bit bigger than your average lap dog. He is kennel trained and house trained. Gunner enjoys tugging on his rope toys! I love kids so much that I may knock little ones down, he gets excited! Gunner loves children, but because of his size, older children would be better. Gunner likes to run through the backyard like Forest Gump. He is truly a dog that doesn’t meet a stranger. Gunner’s loving personality and irresistible charm will bring happiness to those lucky enough to have him in their lives. Gunner is sure to become a beloved member of a family for years to come. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Gunner up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Gunner here:  www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!
