Story
Lady is a very special dog she is extremely affectionate but very excitable loves walks loves the dog park loves attention loves her bones loves her treats but she needs someone who can devote time to her outdoors and indoor due to a health issue with our elderly father she's not thriving in our home and we don't want to see her suffer without the attention and the love and the outdoor activities that she deserves and so much more. She is ok with kids but prefers to be the center of attention. She is picky when it comes to being around other dogs. She does does not like cats or small dogs. Lady is not a full bred Pittie. She will love on you and protect you like her own family if you treat her right and love her. She loves to eat cooked butternut squash and pumpkin. She loves her raw bones with peanut butter. She loves to play. Lady was a rescue when I got her about 3 years ago. I love her so much but due to my current situation I must re-home her.

Story
♥ APPLY FOR COLBY ♥ I'm Colby Jack! I was born on November 20, 2020. Right now, I’m a big, loveable boy weighing in at 85lbs, and I happen to be a Pitbull mix! It’s been a bit of a tough time for me lately, as I am in need of a new home. This is not because of anything I’ve done; rather, it’s just life throwing me a curveball. It makes me a little sad since I’ve been with my family since I was just a tiny puppy, and they mean the world to me.   But enough about that—let’s focus on the happy things! I’m a super friendly guy with a heart full of love, especially for kids and even our furry feline friends. I thrive in a home filled with giggles and purrs! However, I do have to be honest and say that I’m not really a fan of having other dogs around. It’s really important for me to be the only doggo in the house so that I can be the center of attention!    Given the changes that have happened in my life, I think it’ll be best for me to take things slow when it comes to meeting new people or exploring new environments. My whole world is a little topsy-turvy right now, so having patience and understanding from my new family will really help me adjust. Trust me, I promise to reward your kindness with all the love and loyalty I have to offer!   Now, let’s talk about my absolute favorite things—swimming and water! I can’t get enough of it! Whether it’s splashing around in a pool or just enjoying a nice bath, I’m all in. Oh, and I have the cutest little rain boots that I wear when it’s wet outside—those are truly my favorite! They make me feel so adventurous and stylish!   I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can continue to spread joy and love. If you're looking for a big, friendly buddy to share your life with, I might just be the pup for you! Looking forward to meeting you soon!   ♥ APPLY FOR COLBY ♥ ##2403805##

UPDATE: GIZMO (FKA IRA - HIS SHELTER NAME) IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH TLC! More to be added soon but don't hesitate to reach out! IRA IS PAST DEADLINE, EXTREMLY URGENT! Ira is a young boy who entered the shelter as a stray and has not handled the chaos well. He is overstimulated and scared, but those who’ve spent time with him believe he has real potential outside of the shelter environment. With patience, consistency, and a calm home, Ira deserves the chance to show who he really is. He does not need perfection. He needs time. Ira’s deadline was 10:00 am today. He is now past deadline, and we believe the shelter may only be able to hold him until approximately 2:00 pm for a rescue, foster, or adopter to step forward. This is truly last call. Please consider opening your home, stepping up as a foster, or sharing his story immediately. One person can still save his life!

Story
💕🐾Ziggy🐾💕 Meet Ziggy! At just 2 years old and 58 pounds, Ziggy is a sweet, lowrider pup who will absolutely steal your heart. With his bulldog–pittie charm and the cutest little hop (we call it his “bunny bounce”), Ziggy is as endearing as they come. He may start off a little shy, but don’t be fooled, once he warms up, you’ll be rewarded with the gentlest kisses and a playful spirit. Ziggy loves his toys, enjoys playtime, and has been wonderful with other dogs in his foster home. Housebroken, crate-trained, and polite, he’s been nothing but a joy to foster. His easygoing nature and good manners make him a perfect companion for a family ready to give him the love he deserves. Ziggy's story is a reminder of why rescue matters. Every day, incredible dogs like him lose their lives. When his name appeared on the euthanasia list, a foster home stepped up despite already being full and Ziggy has proven every day since just how special he is. By adopting Ziggy you're not only giving him the forever home he's been waiting for, you're also helping us make room to save the next dog still hoping for their chance. Now, Ziggy is ready for his forever home, a place where he can keep hopping, playing, snuggling, and sharing his gentle love. ✨ Interested in getting to know Ziggy? Reach out, we think you’ll fall in love with him just like we did!

Story
Georgie, the handsome American Pit Bull Terrier, is not just any dog. He's a bundle of joy, overflowing with charm, affection, and a contagious happy-go-lucky spirit. And he's ready to be your constant companion, best friend, and loyal lover. At just one year old and 43 pounds, Georgie is a young, energetic pup who's been through quite a journey already. Georgie's story from a home that had another dog, and he and Georgie would frolic one minute and tumble the next. Now Georgie found himself in a shelter, longing for a loving home once again. But his upbeat demeanor never wavered, and he continued to brighten up the lives of everyone he met. Georgie is special in more ways than one. He's a people-pleaser who is always happy to see you and eager to please. His charming personality and intelligence make him a quick learner, always ready to impress with new tricks. But beyond his charm, Georgie's biggest trait is his affection. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his humans and showering them with unconditional love and kisses. As an energetic and playful dog, Georgie would thrive in a home with kids aged 12 and older, who can match his enthusiasm and keep up with his high energy levels. Although he may prefer to be the only animal in the home, he's all the company you'll ever need. Whether it's going for a run, playing fetch in the park, or snuggling on the couch, Georgie will be your constant companion and faithful friend. Georgie's endearing personality and loving nature make him the perfect addition to any family looking for a playful and affectionate dog. So, if you're ready to open your heart and home to this irresistible bundle of joy, come meet Georgie today. He's waiting to find his forever home and melt your heart with his irresistible charm. Adopt Georgie and make your family complete! www.brasscityrescue.org

Story
Monroe is a sweet, stunning girl who turns heads wherever she goes! She loves curling up on the couch (or in your lap) for belly rubs, going for walks around town, and hopping in the car for a Starbucks pup cup! Monroe is housebroken, crate trained, and good with kids, though she can get excited with toys being thrown around so she’d do best with kids that are steady on their feet! She’d spend hours playing fetch if she could, and has never so much as nibbled on her dog bed. She can take a bit longer to warm up to men, but underneath that she is all love and cuddles. She is a total goofball with a huge heart, who will make someone an amazing companion! 💜 Please apply at www.brasscityrescue.org

Story
This is "Goldie". Goldie is about 90% an English Bulldog and the rest maybe American Bully. She has all the characters of an English Bulldog. Goldie is about 5 years and 4 months old and weighs about 46 pounds. Goldie comes to us with a sad story. Goldie and 2 other dogs (not related) were left behind in an apartment because their owners had no means to take care of them any longer. Someone did take the dogs from the apartment but had no place of his own to go with them. So he was desperate to find a place for these dogs. This is where we came in. We took Goldie. The other 2 dogs were taken by another rescue. All 3 dogs were not starving and they were in good health. Goldie was a little confused at first, understandably so. She is doing much better. Goldie is a sweet dog and she even looks sweet! She is calm, she sits when told and she gives her paw when asked. Goldie is a very good dog. In fact, Goldie is a great dog! Goldie gets along with other dogs and it looks like she gets along with cats. In Goldie's new home, children must be 14 years old or older. You MUST own your own home. You MUST own your own condo. Absolutely no apartments. Goldie came to us already spayed. She went to our veterinarian and she got her shots and tested negative for heartworm. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Goldie is $100.00 if you are the perfect family with an excellent veterinarian reference. No credit cards. If you are interested in Goldie, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Goldie on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Goldie will be looking for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS !
