Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, Lisbon CT, or another scheduled stop closest to you. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl. BREED:  Dogo ArgentinoAGE: 10 monthsDOGS:  YesCATS:  YesKIDS:  Yes **Accepting Applicants with Large Breed Experience Only**This gorgeous girl is just under one years old and weighs approximately 45 pounds.  We expect she will gain at least another 20 pounds as she grows.  Paris loves to play and go on walks so will require an active family to keep up with her energy level.  As much as she loves to play, her snuggle game is strong and she will be your best buddy for movie night.  Paris is truly going to be one family’s dream dog.  A little about the breed:  the Dogo Argentino was bred to be a working dog, is a very smart breed and as most smart working breeds they can be stubborn, loyal and protective.  For these reasons applicants must have large breed experience and commit to positive, consistent training methods and proper socialization for Paris so she continues to be her best self. Paris has lived with dogs and has done well with the dog in her foster care home.  To ensure the best fit, we will require multiple meet and greets with any applicant’s dog(s).  She did well when cat tested. Paris is wonderful with children who are sturdy on their feet as she’s a big goofy puppy and can unintentionally knock over the littles.Paris’s heart and love for people is as big as her fun loving energy.  If she may be the dog to complete your family apply today!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27
