After a past where mistakes were met with punishment and fear, Luna is still holding onto hope, waiting for her perfect match to give her the love and peace she so deeply deserves.Luna is a tender-hearted girl who craves affection, and if your love language is physical touch, she's ready to melt into you with warm hugs and snuggles. She's an introvert at heart, preferring a quiet, small circle of trusted friends. It takes time for her to feel safe, but once you've earned her trust, you'll have her loyalty for life. There's something special about the way Luna bonds with her people-it's deep, meaningful, and true.Though life hasn't always been kind to her, Luna remains hopeful. She's seeking an adult-only home where she can be the one and only, free from the stress of other pets or busy households. A calm and understanding environment will allow her to flourish, finally giving her the peace she's been waiting for.Luna is already housebroken and knows her basic commands-sit, come, and down. Story
Sammie's Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - No, thank youKids - Yes, pre-teens and older kidsSammie is here to steal your heart! This gentle girl knows how to make people laugh with her adorable tooth chomps when she gets excited. Since moving in with her foster mom, Sammie has gone from a nervous pup to a sweet, loving companion who's ready to find her forever home.Sammie's favorite pastimes include shopping trips to hardware and pet stores, where she eagerly awaits her favorite treat: pup cups at the drive-thru! She's also a fan of snuggling, taking walks, car rides, and running zoomies in the yard. And guess what? She recently discovered a love for playing in water after a fun pool day, adding even more charm to her already sparkling personality.Sammie would love a home where someone is around frequently. She's built up her confidence and can handle being left alone for a few hours, but she'd be sad if left alone all day. She does best with slow introductions to other dogs and has done great with calmer dogs after a proper intro. Sammie would love a cat-free home with kids who are at least 12 years of age.Sammie is eager to share her love and happiness with her new forever family. Could that be you?-----Adoption Fees & Benefits:Under 1 year: $2001-4 years: $1005-9 years: $5510+ years: $35Fees include: Heartworm test (age appropriate), vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, complimentary bag of food, wellness exam, and rabies vaccine.A "meet and greet" with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas. Story
Meet Red, the adorable senior dog who is eagerly waiting for his forever home! At 9 years old, Red has a heart full of love and a playful spirit that belies his age. This sweet boy has been thriving in foster care and is ready to bring joy to a loving family. Here's everything you need to know about Red:House Manners and Training:Red is a well-behaved house guest with impeccable manners. He has not had any accidents indoors and is trusted to roam freely while his foster parent is at work. Although a crate hasn't been necessary, Red has shown curiosity about it, indicating he'd likely be fine if crated.Daily Routine:Red's day starts with an energizing morning walk. He then spends the day at home until his foster parent returns from work. Evenings are his favorite time, as he loves playing in the backyard. Red is learning recall and working on staying calm when other dogs are near the fence.Interactions and Social Skills:Red gets along well with other dogs and has been practicing walks with the neighbor's dog, showing great progress. Red gets excited in the car but does well when buckled in the backseat.Previous Experience with Dogs:Red has lived with dogs in the past and enjoyed their company. If you already have dogs at home, we recommend bringing them for a meet and greet at the shelter to ensure a good match.Home Requirements:Red needs a home without cats and where everyone is at least 18 years old. He can be a bit wary of strangers at first, so a household with adults who can understand his needs and help him feel safe is ideal. Training and Personality:This lively pup has been focusing on recall and managing his excitement, especially when running freely in the backyard. Red is affectionately nicknamed "wild man" because of his joyful, full-speed sprints in the yard, always with a big smile on his face. He loves toys and blankets, having once snuck into the spare bedroom to revel in a blanket pile he found. Why Adopt Red?It took some time, but Red has come out of his shell remarkably, displaying an excitement for life and a gentle, loving demeanor. His wonderful house manners and adaptable nature make him an excellent addition to the home.If you're looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered companion, Red is the dog for you. Come meet Red and see if he's the perfect match for your family!Follow me on Instagram: @adopt.red

Story
Axel's Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - Experienced with feline housematesKids - Teens are great! Meet Axel, a young and energetic Pit Bull Terrier mix with a big heart who's ready to find a home where he can truly shine! Axel is full of potential, and with the right family, he will thrive with patience, love, and positive reinforcement training.Axel is a smart boy who loves to stay active, and he'll do best with a family that enjoys keeping him both mentally and physically engaged. Think puzzle feeders, scent games, and learning new tricks! He's shown that he can get along with other dogs, but he needs slow introductions and a little time to feel comfortable around them. With some guidance, Axel is sure to build his confidence in new situations and around new friends.Axel does need a little help learning to love his crate, as it's been a source of stress for him in the past. With patience, tasty treats, and a gentle approach, he can learn to feel safe and comfortable. He'd do best in a home with older teens, where everyone understands how to respect his boundaries and help him feel secure.Since Axel is a bit of an escape artist, he'll need a home with a secure 6-foot privacy fence or someone dedicated to keeping him safe on walks. If you're looking for a dog who's ready for a fresh start and are committed to providing him with the guidance and support he needs, Axel will be your loyal companion for life. Are you the one to help Axel grow and thrive? Good with kids, Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
When we brought Pixie into our home, she was in urgent need of medical care from being malnourished and had signs of physical abuse. We have since nursed Pixie back to health (she has gained more than 20 lbs), recently neutered as well as brought current on all shots. Unfortunately, we have realized that Pixie seems unable to co-exist with our other 3 dogs: 19-year-old Miniature Pinscher, 75 lb. male pit-mix and 55 lb. female pit-mix. Pixie has displayed various levels of aggressive behavior with each of our dogs as well as other dogs walking. Pixie was very shy and very sad when we first got her, but she has warmed up and really enjoys snuggling on the couch, wrestling around, going for walks or just sniffing around the back yard. She is extremely affectionate and will even try to lay on you anytime you snuggle with her on the couch. Pixie is house broken and crate trained. We do need to rehome Pixie by the end of June.
