Story
Bear was my daughter Angela's dog. Angela passed away Jan 7th. Bear was abandoned as a puppy and Angela took her in. Bear has been the only pet in the household her whole life and will need time to adjust to other dogs or cats. Bear has been around Angela's 2 year old grandson since his birth as Angela babysat him often so she should adjust to other children in time. She will need time to adjust to a new environment as she was the only pet in Angela's household. Bear was Angela's emotional support dog all through life and especially during her illness. No one in Angela's family is able to take Bear in. My experience with Bear is she is a very sweet dog. She is healthy and strong for her age.

Story
Meet Frito — Your Adventure Buddy With a Goofy Heart of GoldTwo-year-old Frito has been on quite the journey—from the edge of euthanasia to rediscovering joy, confidence, and his trademark floppy-tongued grin. Now thriving in foster care, this bouncy ball of energy is looking for a committed, experienced home that appreciates progress, structure, and a whole lot of personality.A Goofball With Endless EnergyFrito is an adventurer at heart. He starts every day ready to move, explore, and play. His exercise routine currently includes:• 2–3 fetch sessions per day (his favorite!),• 3–5 miles of walking or running, often more,• And plenty of general play to burn off his joyful zoom-fuel.He is highly play-motivated and has a hilarious habit of carrying a ball everywhere “just in case.” He also sploots at every opportunity, lets his floppy tongue hang wildly, and melts into any human he trusts—once he’s decided you're his person, good luck getting him off your lap.A Confident, Silly, Sensitive SoulFrito is a mix of bold and tender. He can be mouthy when overstimulated or meeting new people, and he can feel uncomfortable with hands reaching over his head or back. He opens up to women a bit faster, but he does well with men too—he simply needs slow intros and patience. He is not socialized with children, and due to his reactivity and mouthiness, he needs a kid-free home.Dog DynamicsFrito is dog-selective. He has potential with smaller, gentle females (like his friend Roo), but he does not get along with larger males. When he was found, he was with a dog buddy his size, so the right match is possible—but he needs slow, experienced introductions and rescue involvement for safety. What He’s Working OnThis boy has made real progress, but he’s still learning the ropes of home life:• Paw handling (he dislikes his feet touched but is improving)• Reactivity on walks (squirrels are still VERY suspicious)• Doorway manners and impulse control• Separation anxiety, which his foster manages with structure and a calm environment• Toy guarding, which has improved significantly—he allows his foster to take balls from his hoard without issueWhy Frito Is Worth ItFrito is the definition of resilience. He is confident, affectionate, silly, expressive, athletic, loyal, and full of heart. His foster says: “He’s an overall great guy, and I’ll be bummed when we don’t get to hang out every day.”Frito isn’t looking for perfection—just someone patient, active, and experienced who can continue guiding him through the world while celebrating every win along the way.If you’re ready for a dedicated adventure partner with a goofy soul and endless potential, Frito is waiting—with his favorite ball and a heart ready to belong.Adopt Frito. Change his story—and let him change yours. ##2412161##

Story
Meet Rosita — A Resilient Mama with a Heart Full of Love Rosita is a stunning tan, mixed-breed girl weighing around 60 lbs—and truly, someone is missing out on an incredible dog. She is dog-friendly, appears to do well with cats, is potty trained, and does wonderfully when left alone in the house or kennel. With a medium, easy-care coat and minimal shedding, she’s as practical as she is lovable. Rosita is highly intelligent and learns routines quickly. She builds trust surprisingly fast, especially considering everything she’s endured. When she arrived in foster care, Rosita was in very rough shape—severely underweight, anemic, and bleeding heavily. She required an emergency spay to stop the bleeding, all while nursing seven puppies. In her first two weeks alone, she gained nine pounds—an incredible feat given everything her body was handling. This tough little mama amazed everyone. Even on the day of her surgery, she insisted on returning to her puppies to nurse. While we expected days of bottle-feeding, Rosita made it very clear that her babies needed her. We covered about 10 hours during surgery and recovery, but once she was cleared, she demanded to be back with them—and she carried on until she got her way. Despite her past, Rosita does not resource guard. She allows her puppies to eat from her bowl, tolerates petting while eating, and would honestly choose a hug over a treat most days. Affection means everything to her. She loves full-on hugs—with her paws wrapped around your neck—a few times a day, as if making up for a lifetime without enough love. Rosita is a champion cuddler and prefers as much body contact as possible. We’re currently working on teaching her to sit next to you instead of on you, but her intentions are pure—she just wants to be close. She gives a few gentle kisses but isn’t an excessive licker. She does well with people of all ages, though she may put her paws up as a soft request for affection. She wants to play but is still learning how. Toys and chews are new concepts to her, suggesting she likely never had them before. Even so, she approaches everything with curiosity and grace. Rosita may be the most patient and nurturing mother we’ve ever seen. She plays gently with her puppies and continues to nurse them—even now that they have tiny needle teeth. Her nurturing nature runs deep, and once her puppies are grown, that love will undoubtedly transfer fully to her humans. Her spirit is not broken—not even a little. She will bark to ask to go outside and isn’t shy about voicing her opinion if meals are late or it takes too long to bring her back inside. One small habit we’re working on is food stealing if it’s within reach—likely a survival skill from her past. She’s learning that meals are reliable now and that patience brings rewards. Rosita is affectionate, resilient, loyal, and deeply loving. She’s the kind of dog who gives everything she has once she knows she’s safe—and whoever adopts her will be incredibly lucky. ##2606947##

Story
Meet Bonnie! Bonnie is a sweet and intelligent girl who's eager to please and loves to learn. This gentle soul shines with confidence when surrounded by familiar faces but can be nervous around new people.  Bonnie is a quick learner who thrives on mental stimulation and playtime. She adores playing with stuffies and squeaky toys, and enjoys being active, whether that's going for a walk or playing in the yard. Despite her energetic side, Bonnie also knows how to settle in for some well-deserved pets and rest. She's made great progress with basic commands, knowing "sit," "down," and "wait," and has decent leash manners. One of Bonnie's favorite treats is a frozen Kong, which she'll happily lick away at for extended periods. She's also muzzle trained, making her a great candidate for an owner who understands the importance of gentle training methods. Bonnie would thrive in a home with owners who can help build her confidence and social skills. Respectful and dog-savvy children aged 7+ would also be a great fit, as long as they're willing to approach her gently and with kindness. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll reward your patience and love with affection and devotion, Bonnie might be your perfect match! ##1809810##

Story
Meet Boogie! Meet Boogie, a one-of-a-kind cutie whose personality is just as special as his looks! This sweet 3-year-old, 45-pound boy may have super short legs, but don’t let that fool you—they move fast when it’s time to play fetch or splash around in the kiddie pool. Boogie absolutely LOVES water and is always ready for fun! Boogie is a crate-trained pro and a certified cuddle expert. He loves being close to his people and is a master snuggler—sitting on your feet, leaning into you, and patiently waiting for head scratches and belly rubs. He’s playful and affectionate, but also perfectly happy to just relax and soak up all the love. This sweet boy is a bit of a Velcro dog, sticking close to your side and always ready for the next snuggle session. Boogie was recently evaluated by Positive Only Pups, who noted that he could easily integrate into a home with a friendly, confident dog and would prefer to skip slow, prolonged introduction periods. If your dog is looking for a playmate, he might be the one for you! Boogie is truly the sweetest boy and is learning so much every day in his foster home. He’s ready to keep growing, loving, and trusting—with the right person by his side. Boogie is available for foster or adoption.
