Story
Meet Bonnie! Bonnie is a sweet and intelligent girl who's eager to please and loves to learn. This gentle soul shines with confidence when surrounded by familiar faces but can be nervous around new people.  Bonnie is a quick learner who thrives on mental stimulation and playtime. She adores playing with stuffies and squeaky toys, and enjoys being active, whether that's going for a walk or playing in the yard. Despite her energetic side, Bonnie also knows how to settle in for some well-deserved pets and rest. She's made great progress with basic commands, knowing "sit," "down," and "wait," and has decent leash manners. One of Bonnie's favorite treats is a frozen Kong, which she'll happily lick away at for extended periods. She's also muzzle trained, making her a great candidate for an owner who understands the importance of gentle training methods. Bonnie would thrive in a home with owners who can help build her confidence and social skills. Respectful and dog-savvy children aged 7+ would also be a great fit, as long as they're willing to approach her gently and with kindness. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll reward your patience and love with affection and devotion, Bonnie might be your perfect match! ##1809810##

Story
Meet Diamond — A Quiet, Gentle Soul Ready to ShineDiamond is a petite 45-lb beauty who started her journey as a devoted mama, bravely caring for her puppies in an abandoned building just before Christmas 2024. Her babies are all adopted, and now it’s finally her turn to be cherished.Diamond is a soft, introverted sweetheart who takes the world in at her own pace. She’s naturally cautious with new people and new situations, but once she feels safe, her personality peeks through in the cutest ways — like gently sneaking up to lick your fingers or legs, or offering her signature goofy “emoji poop” moments that always earn a laugh.Calm, Easygoing EnergyDiamond has a medium–low energy level and enjoys a simple, peaceful lifestyle. She loves romping around the yard, playing with her doggy friends, and then settling in for quiet relaxation. She doesn’t need busy outings or new adventures — being home with her people and her dog siblings is her comfort zone.Gentle With Her BoundariesDiamond prefers calm environments and slow introductions. She may be cautious about touch at first, but with patience and routine, she begins to accept gentle pets and closeness. She communicates beautifully and appreciates people who let her build trust in her own time. Her foster family has already seen her confidence grow simply through consistent, low-pressure exposure.Great With DogsDiamond absolutely thrives with other dogs. She matches play styles, communicates well, and has no possessiveness around food or toys. A confident, friendly dog sibling will help her continue to blossom. Cats, however, are not her favorite companions. Why Diamond Is So SpecialDiamond is full of quiet charm and subtle affection. She may not jump into your arms on day one, but the connection she builds over time is incredibly meaningful. Her progress over the past year has been beautiful — from a scared mama simply trying to survive, to a playful, silly, and increasingly trusting girl who enjoys backyard zoomies, doggy play, and sneaking kisses to the people she loves. Her love is gentle, thoughtful, and deeply rewarding. The Home She’s Hoping ForDiamond will thrive with:- A patient adopter who values calm, steady progress- A predictable home routine- A dog sibling to help show her the ropes- A quiet environment where she can feel safe and understoodDiamond is looking for someone who celebrates small wins, loves at her pace, and sees the beauty in a dog who blooms slowly but beautifully. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, quietly affectionate companion who will shine brighter with every bit of trust she gains…Diamond might be the missing piece of your heart. ##2261252##

Story
Meet Frito — Your Adventure Buddy With a Goofy Heart of GoldTwo-year-old Frito has been on quite the journey—from the edge of euthanasia to rediscovering joy, confidence, and his trademark floppy-tongued grin. Now thriving in foster care, this bouncy ball of energy is looking for a committed, experienced home that appreciates progress, structure, and a whole lot of personality.A Goofball With Endless EnergyFrito is an adventurer at heart. He starts every day ready to move, explore, and play. His exercise routine currently includes:• 2–3 fetch sessions per day (his favorite!),• 3–5 miles of walking or running, often more,• And plenty of general play to burn off his joyful zoom-fuel.He is highly play-motivated and has a hilarious habit of carrying a ball everywhere “just in case.” He also sploots at every opportunity, lets his floppy tongue hang wildly, and melts into any human he trusts—once he’s decided you're his person, good luck getting him off your lap.A Confident, Silly, Sensitive SoulFrito is a mix of bold and tender. He can be mouthy when overstimulated or meeting new people, and he can feel uncomfortable with hands reaching over his head or back. He opens up to women a bit faster, but he does well with men too—he simply needs slow intros and patience. He is not socialized with children, and due to his reactivity and mouthiness, he needs a kid-free home.Dog DynamicsFrito is dog-selective. He has potential with smaller, gentle females (like his friend Roo), but he does not get along with larger males. When he was found, he was with a dog buddy his size, so the right match is possible—but he needs slow, experienced introductions and rescue involvement for safety. What He’s Working OnThis boy has made real progress, but he’s still learning the ropes of home life:• Paw handling (he dislikes his feet touched but is improving)• Reactivity on walks (squirrels are still VERY suspicious)• Doorway manners and impulse control• Separation anxiety, which his foster manages with structure and a calm environment• Toy guarding, which has improved significantly—he allows his foster to take balls from his hoard without issueWhy Frito Is Worth ItFrito is the definition of resilience. He is confident, affectionate, silly, expressive, athletic, loyal, and full of heart. His foster says: “He’s an overall great guy, and I’ll be bummed when we don’t get to hang out every day.”Frito isn’t looking for perfection—just someone patient, active, and experienced who can continue guiding him through the world while celebrating every win along the way.If you’re ready for a dedicated adventure partner with a goofy soul and endless potential, Frito is waiting—with his favorite ball and a heart ready to belong.Adopt Frito. Change his story—and let him change yours. ##2412161##

Story
Meet Miss Piggy — The Snuggly, Social, and Adorable Wiggle-WormMiss Piggy is a sweet, gentle, and playful 2-year-old girl with a personality as charming as her snorts and grunts (she earned her name honestly!). She loves people and attention and just wants to be wherever her favorite humans are — soaking up pets, head rubs, and affection.Personality & Daily Life• Medium-energy girl who loves to play and explore, then happily relaxes once she’s burned off some excitement• Loves toys and interactive play, though she doesn’t get aggressive — she just shows her spirited side when challenged• True social butterfly: adores people of all ages and loves giving and receiving kissesMiss Piggy can be a little wiggly and excited at first, especially when heading out on walks, but she’s learning to calm down and focus. She’s great with handling, crate-trained, and loves enrichment activities.Social Life• Gets along well with other dogs; slow introductions help her make the best connections• Not cat-friendly — she gets very focused on them and can become upset if she can’t reach them• Wonderful with kids and people of all ages• Enjoys playtime but can be a little serious when it comes to her meals — all dogs in current foster home are fed separately to avoid conflictsTraining & Home Needs• Working on leash manners and learning to settle when first leaving the kennel• Medium energy means she enjoys walks and playtime but is also happy to lounge and relax once she’s tired• Needs a home that can give her patience, consistency, and lots of loveMiss Piggy is one of the sweetest, most loyal girls you’ll meet. She loves affection, loves to play, and is eager to be part of a family that will help her continue to blossom. With the right home, she’ll be a devoted, fun-loving companion who brightens every day with her personality and snorts. ##2237604##

Story
Meet Spot! Spot is the last of his litter still looking for a home, and he’s hoping his turn comes soon! His early life was spent in a backyard with little socialization, so he’s still learning important dog and people skills — but he’s made amazing progress. About Spot:• Crate trained and potty trained• Learning leash skills and basic obedience• Selective with dog friends, no cats• Could do well with older, respectful kids as he continues training• Can be mouthy and jumpy when excited, but improving every day• Slow to warm up, but incredibly loving and loyal once he trusts you Spot can be a little nervous in new situations, but once you’re “his person,” he’s all in — cuddling, hanging out, and enjoying couch potato life. He’s smart, affectionate, and ready for a family who will continue helping him build confidence and polish his manners. If you have patience, love, and a spot on your couch, Spot just might be your perfect match. Apply today! ##2357441##

Story
I am trying to rehome my boxer, Piper. She is about 8 years old and still very full of life. She would do best in a single person or retired couple home without young children or other pets. She is very jealous and wants to be the center of attention, preferably a man's attention. She does not do well with other dogs and has had altercations in the past with a dog in our extended family. We are sad to rehome her but she is not doing well with our growing family and we want her to be happy with a person who can dote on her. Current location is Indianapolis, IN.

Story
Piper is a big snuggle bug, loves a good nap, and tagging along on walks. She is great with adults and cats, but dogs are a no-go. She is approximately 7 years old. We have to rehome Piper because we are expecting our second child under two years old and will not be able to give her the attention she deserves. She has not been aggressive toward our baby but she has displayed body language suggesting jealousy and we are not willing to risk that with two little ones. She would be best suited to a childless couple or single person. Regardless, she is a great dog and we are sad to see her leave.
