Story
MAGNOLIA “NOLIE” Pocket Bully • Mama Warrior • Family-Safe Sweetheart Some dogs walk into rescue quietly. Magnolia — lovingly called Nolie — walked in carrying an entire legacy of strength. This beautiful pocket bully mama was pulled from a kill shelter with her adorable blue babies when their time ran out. The shelter staff begged for her to be saved — not because she was just another dog, but because she was special. They adored her. And now we understand why. A Mama With a Heart of Gold Nolie is gentle, steady, and soft in all the ways that matter. She protected her babies in the hardest place a mother can be — a shelter where hope runs thin. The moment she landed with us, her shoulders relaxed. She knew she was finally safe. Dog-Friendly Nolie loves other dogs and gets along beautifully with calm, friendly pups. She matches energy, respects boundaries, and is happy to share space. Cat-Friendly… Nope Let’s be honest: She doesn't cats. She is not signing up to join a cat book club. Perfectly manageable, just keep the cat away (maybe at the neighbors house). Personality Sweet, soulful, and gentle Loves affection and leans in for pets Calm, easygoing, and very well-mannered Loyal and deeply connected to “her people” Ideal Home Nolie would thrive in a home that wants a smaller bully with: A heart as big as her blocky little head Wonderful manners A peaceful, loving presence The desire to be someone's companion, shadow, and daily comfort Magnolia “Nolie” isn’t just adoptable — she’s unforgettable. She survived. She loved her babies fiercely. And now she deserves the softest, safest life possible. If you want a dog who will be loyal, gentle, and devoted, Nolie is your girl. Story
How cute is Atticus? He is currently 11 weeks old and we think he may be a American Pitbull and Cattle dog mix, but with rescues it is always a bit of a mystery! Atticus is playful and sweet. He loves to play with other dogs and his toys and then cuddle up for a nap. Atticus is a baby so he will need a patient family that is ready for training, socialization and all of the hard stuff that comes with owning a young puppy. However, he will make up for it with a bunch of kisses! His new family will have to work with him on potty training, crate training, and basic commands. As he gets older, we anticipate he will be a higher energy dog and will likely require physical and mental exercise daily. He will be perfect to take on long walks around the neighborhood! Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Click here to apply → https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/63417e8a057aab53870c7384 Adoption Application Questions? Story
*Couch potato seeking equally potato-y humans to snuggle* Calvin is a super-mellow boy who is looking for a comfy couch to claim as his own. At 3 years old and 60lbs, this pittie boy is ready to sit back & enjoy the ride. We would consider Calvin an expert-tier cuddle partner. Sleeping in on Sunday’s? Of course. Afternoon siesta? Yes, please. Netflix & Chill? Calvin invented it. Truly this boy wants nothing more than to be with his forever person and enjoy the simple life together. Calvin is easy to handle on a leash (what’s the hurry?) & he did not show one lick of aggression. He is very conflict-avoidant with other dogs. He would be a great only-dog, or he would be happy in a small pack of other equally-mellow dogs. Those bouncy, high-energy pups? Not his style. (Note: cats are also VERY MUCH not his style.) This boy has an ease about him: he’s looking for the finer things in life, and he won’t get caught up in any drama. Calvin can be slow to open up to strangers, but once he warms up, he’ll happily lumber over for pets. Anyone searching for the perfect cuddle companion?
