Story
Meet Kristi, a 3-year-old pit bull mix who made her way all the way from South Carolina to find her new best friend. Kristi's previous shelter couldn't stop singing her praises. They say she's a super nice dog who's loving and completely house-trained. She's already mastered "sit," which is a great start for her training. Kristi strikes a perfect balance between playful and mellow. Whether you want to go for a jog or just relax on the couch, she's up for it. She's also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, getting along well with her canine companions. While we don't know her history with cats or kids, her gentle and sweet nature suggests she'd do just fine in a family with children. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who's ready to be part of your daily life, Kristi might just be the perfect match. Come meet her and see for yourself what a wonderful addition she could be to your family. If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.

Adoption Fee: $500 Our information is current if you are interested in adopting please read our  Adoption Policies before filling out an Adoption Application. https://www.pittieloverescue.org It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process.  Introducing Teapot! This short and stout (but certainly not little) low rider came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Big thank you to amazing PittieLove foster Claudia for getting this pup out of the shelter and showing him the life, every young dog deserves. Teapot, at the young age of only 8 months, is proving to be an overachiever in the learning department- he’s already mastered most basic commands and learns new tricks very quickly! He would thrive in a home that wants to continue training with him. This big blonde boy and his curly-q tail walk like a dream on leash, and he takes every opportunity to happily greet friends along the route, human and dog alike! T enjoys car rides with his foster momma, politely staying in his own space and taking in the sites. If you enjoy a good game of fetch or tug- Teapot is your guy! He could spend hours playing with his toys. Teapot says yes please to a four-legged sibling as well as older two-legged siblings. He’s a big goofy puppy who may accidentally run over smaller kiddos  If you and your family are looking to add a big squishy young pup with a killer smile and squiggly tail- Teapot fits the bill!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do. Story
Brandy wasn't sure what exactly was going on when she came to TJO, but found the offer of a comfy bed hard to resist. She was more curious about her new surroundings than scared, and she would timidly sniff away at everything until things were not quite so new and a little less scary. She made fast friends with all the staff and volunteers and can't wait to see what sort of adventure her new owner has in store for her.OTHER PETS: Brandy is relaxed and social with other dogs; to ensure a good fit, she should meet any dog she would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] KIDS: Brandy is gentle and comfortable with handling, she would likely get along well with humans of any age; as with all our dogs, Brandy should meet any minor humans she would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Brandy likes to play and be a goofy puppy, she will probably continue to have a good amount of energy as she grows up. Walks or supervised playtime are a great starting point, training could open up the possibility of doggy sports or adventuring with her new owner as other ways of getting good exercise. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED:Positive reinforcement training will help Brandy bond with her new owner as well as ensuring a mastery of basic commands and behavorial expectations. Specialized training will help Brandy get involved in doggy sports like flyball or dock diving or even adventure activities like hiking/camping. [Minimal] GROOMING: [Minimal]June 15, 2024, 4:02 pm
