Playing, running, chasing, being with my humans, playing, wagging my tail, playing, and going on lots of walks.Dislikes?Kitties (why do people have those fluffy things), sitting still, not playing, and not laying on top of my hooman! What's my perfect date?Anything fun that I get to do with my HOOMAN! Are you Todd's new best friend? Todd would really like a new home that is PIT BULL SAVVY and will give him the attention and exercise he craves. This big meatball needs a Hooman who will continue to work on his leash training and provide him with a job that will occupy his time... even if its just learning obedience commands. He wants someone consistent who will give him the exercise he needs. If you are Todd's perfect human fill out an application today. Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes. Story
Sasha-******TLC Club Member*******10 year old pitbull terrier, not good with cats, no kids, potty trained. Sasha is an active Pitty girl who was adopted out and returned due to a change in circumstances. Sasha has moderate to high energy but also will be happy snuggling on the couch for some of the day. Sasha would do best in a home with pitbull experience And in a home with no kids as she can get over excited by too much stimulation. Sasha can live with other dogs though we recommend dogs who are calmer and will tolerate her poor play manners well and who will not overstimulate her. Sasha gets spring allergies that cause her to have red eyes and itchy skin. This has been treated by providing her with Allergy pills when the allergies come on and are resolved when the seasons change. Sasha would do well in a home with no cats and in a home with someone who has experience setting boundaries and limitations. And a home with a fenced yard is a must. Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes. The first step in meeting one of our furry friends is to fill out an application on our website at www.rainbowrescues.org. Story
Meet Bowser! A 7-year-old American Pitbull Terrier residing in Staten Island, NY. This spirited pup is a bundle of energy and affection, always ready for playtime or snuggles on the couch! He's a quick learner, responding to commands like sit, stay, go, drop it, leave it, fetch, back up, and no with ease. Despite his aversion to rainy days, Bowser loves spending time outdoors and enjoys a good game of fetch! Bowser exhibits some dog aggression, though he's been known to get along well with an older female pit companion in his household. However, he's never displayed any aggression towards people and adores both adults and children. While his enthusiasm for play is boundless, homes with very young children may not be suitable due to his size and strength. Bowser's vigilant nature makes him an excellent watchdog, always on alert for any sign of trouble. Though he'll dutifully guard the house, his friendly demeanor means he may not be the most effective deterrent against intruders. He forms strong bonds with women but may be a bit shy around men. Fully house-trained, vaccinated, and neutered, Bowser's favorite pastimes include playing with chew toys, bones, and ropes, as well as cuddling up next to his favorite humans for a movie night. He's a Velcro dog through and through, preferring to be by your side rather than play alone. When considering a new home for Bowser, ample space for play or a commitment to regular exercise is essential. Homes without other pets or very young children would be ideal, ensuring Bowser's happiness and safety. If you're interested in giving Bowser the loving home he deserves, please reach out to us at adopt@joyfulpets.com!
