Story
Meet Monty, a 4-year-old male Pitbull who is as confident as he is lovable. With a personality that shines bright, Monty greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail and a big, happy smile. He’s the kind of dog who makes fast friends with anyone who crosses his path, whether it’s humans or fellow dogs. Monty’s enthusiasm for life is contagious, and he’s always ready to brighten your day. This sweet boy is a treat lover and knows how to sit for a snack, but he’s eager to learn more! Monty is still a work in progress when it comes to his manners, and a little formal training would go a long way in helping him become the best boy he can be. His eagerness to please means he’s ready to learn, especially if there’s a tasty reward involved.Monty would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run around to his heart’s content. He loves to play, especially with other dogs—wrestling and running are his favorite activities. He’d do great in a household with a dog buddy to keep him company and burn off some of his energy. As for cats, we’re not entirely sure how Monty feels about them yet, so slow introductions and monitoring would be best in a home with felines. If you`re looking for a friendly, happy, and enthusiastic companion who will love you with all his heart, Monty might just be the perfect fit. He’s ready for his forever family, and he can’t wait to meet you!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED

Meet Brooks – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever HomeSay hello to Brooks, a sweet and snuggly 3-year-old white male Pitbull with a heart as big as his blocky head. Brooks is deaf, but don’t let that fool you—his world is full of love, trust, and connection, and he uses his soulful eyes to communicate beautifully with the people he adores. This lovable guy knows how to sit like a champ and is a certified cuddle-bug, always ready to cozy up beside you for some quality time. Brooks is a gentle, affectionate presence in any home, and he plays nicely with other dogs. While we’re not sure about his experience with cats, slow and supervised introductions are recommended.Recently, Brooks tested positive for heartworm, but don’t worry—he’s already on a carefully managed 60-day treatment plan that will help him bounce back stronger than ever. Because of his treatment, he will be available through a foster-to-adopt program until he’s healthy enough to be neutered.Brooks’ adoption fee is just $75, which goes directly toward the cost of his heartworm treatment. Whether it`s a quiet walk around the neighborhood or a ride in the passenger seat, he’s just happy to be with you. He’s previously lived with both dogs and cats and would be thrilled to share his home with a furry friend or two again.
