Ollie is a loving, playful, cuddle bug of a best friend. He’s an 8 year old pit/lab mix that has been in the care of his owner for 5 years. Ollie is good with cats and other dogs. Ollie is overall in good health! 2 years ago Ollie tore both rear ACLs but had TPLO surgery followed by 6 months of hydrotherapy physic therapy. He can do anything and everything a normal dog can. Ollie loves to be your best friend. He will often tag along as you roam around the house with a toy in his mouth and a wagging tail, just happy to be a part of your life.

Story
At just 1.5 years old, Noel has already shown more resilience than most dogs ever should. When she arrived at Macomb County Animal Control, she was in very rough shape, both physically and emotionally. Her body carried the bumps and bruises of a difficult past, and her spirit was just as wounded. But this brave girl has been healing beautifully. Her physical scars are fading, and each day her personality shines a little brighter.Noel can be a bit shy at first, but with patience and kindness, she opens up quickly. Once she feels safe, she becomes a sweet, affectionate girl who simply wants to be loved on — and she’ll never turn down a treat. She is gentle, sensitive, and deeply appreciative of calm, reassuring humans.Noel is looking for a peaceful home where she can continue to grow in confidence. She would thrive in a quiet environment without young children or cats, and while she does well with other dogs, she prefers those who are laid back and not too rambunctious. She needs a family who can dedicate time, attention, and love to help her continue her healing journey.More than anything, Noel hopes to find a warm, happy home for Christmas — a place where she can finally feel safe, cherished, and part of a family. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a tender heart and a courageous spirit, Noel may be the perfect girl for you.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $50

Meet Wishbone — Your Little Thanksgiving Miracle! Age: ~8 weeksBreed: Black Pitty PuppyPersonality: Spunky • Friendly • Playful • Professional GoofballIf you’ve ever wished for a puppy who’s equal parts mashed-potato soft and turkey-trotting wild, Wishbone might just be your holiday dream come true! This little black nugget wiggles through life like every day is Thanksgiving—and you’re invited to the feast.Wishbone is very spunky and loves to explore absolutely everything (including things that are not technically toys). He’s learning “sit”—and he’s super proud of it—but like any 8-week-old puppy, he’ll need continued training, routine, and patience as he grows.Think of him as a fluffy little sponge… who occasionally forgets what he was doing.Wishbone believes food is a competitive sport. He eats like someone told him the cranberry sauce is running out.A slow feeder is highly recommended to help him pace himself and keep mealtimes safe and healthy. Wishbone LOVES people, but because he’s playful, curious, and still learning his puppy manners, we recommend a home with kids 8 and up.He might want to play chase with cats (he can’t help it—tiny furry things are fascinating), so supervision with cats is needed as he learns boundaries. Why You’ll Be Thankful for WishboneHe’s sweet. He’s silly. He’s full of puppy charm. He’ll warm your lap and your heart like the coziest fall day.If you’re looking for a festive little friend who’s ready to make every season feel like Thanksgiving, Wishbone is ready to trot his way into your family! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Barley, a roughly 5-year-old pitbull mix with a soul as soft as his name suggests. Though he’s mostly blind and currently heartworm-positive, this boy radiates warmth, joy, and an impressive amount of gusto. He may need a little extra guidance in life, but he gives back tenfold in love, trust, and tail wags.Barley is bravely working through his heartworm treatment, which includes a 60-day medication schedule and two injections to help him fully recover. During this time, he will be placed in a foster-to-adopt home so his new family can support him throughout his treatment and begin building a bond with him. Once his medical regimen is complete, he’ll be ready for his neuter surgery—and after that, he’ll officially be yours forever.Because of his visual impairment, Barley thrives in calm, predictable environments. He has done well with other dogs, but he’ll need companions who are respectful of his space and not overly energetic or intrusive. His experience with cats is unknown, so any introductions should be slow, thoughtful, and supervised to keep everyone safe and comfortable.Barley’s ideal home is one filled with patience, structure, and intentional care—people who can help him navigate safely as he learns his surroundings and who are committed to staying diligent with his medications. In return, he’ll offer unwavering loyalty, gentle affection, and the goofy joy that only a pittie mix can bring.Barley is the kind of dog who melts into your side the moment he knows he can trust you. He’s endlessly grateful for kindness, eager to please, and ready for a fresh start with people who will love him through both his challenges and his triumphs. His adoption fee is fully sponsored—we simply hope to find a loving family willing to give this sweet boy the chance at life he truly deserves. If you have the heart and patience to guide Barley through his healing and welcome him into a home of comfort and belonging, he’s ready to meet you. This brave, beautiful boy is searching for his forever family—could it be yours? If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED
