Story
Hi! I’m Ghost! I’m a 10 year old deaf pitbull mix who was flown up here in a private airplane from Texas! It’s a little colder up here, but I love it! My foster Mom says I’m such a good boy! I don’t go potty in the house, I like my crate, I rarely bark, and I’ll sleep right through people knockin on the door! I had a thing called Heartworm, but Mom says I just completed my treatment and am ready to find my forever home! If you want a snuggle buddy, I’m your man! I would prefer to be an only pet, but maybe with slow intros, I’d be okay with one doggy friend. Would you be my Valentine?? This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Flex—a pup with a heart as big as my smile! I’m all about snuggles, tail wags, and bringing joy to everyone I meet. My energy is a good mix of “hooray, playtime!” and “time to stretch out and relax.” I would thrive in a home with another dog that loves to wrestle and goof around in the yard! I may have a slight limp from a past hip injury, but trust me—it doesn’t slow me down one bit. My foster mom says I’m a fast learner, and I am an eager student when it comes to training. I’m so comfortable in my crate and always head outside to go potty. I’m super patient with kids but I think chasing cats would be too tempting, so no cats for me. Walks are tricky for me because of how much I want to chase, well, everything, so I get plenty of exercise running around in the yard with my favorite toys.   I’m just a big lovebug with an even bigger heart, and I can’t wait to find a forever family who’s ready for a loyal, goofy, treat-loving best friend. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey everyone!  My name is Sugar (DOB: 8/19/2017), an adorable 50lbs Pit mix, but my foster mom calls me Ember.  You see, it isn’t that Sugar wasn’t a good fit for me, in fact, I truly am as sweet as sugar, but I came to my foster mom in really rough shape and since I didn’t respond to Sugar, foster mom thought it would be perfect to give me a new name for a new beginning; and boy have we had a journey. During this time with my foster mom, I have gone through 3 separate knee surgeries due to an ACL tear and one separate surgery for a lump on my toe that needed to go! Ha ha, that rhymes! Now that I am all healed, I am ready to finally find my new forever home! Now that all the boring health stuff is out of the way, let me tell you all about myself! I love doing so many fun and exciting things.  I love playing fetch outside, and it doesn’t matter what I’m fetching. I am all in! I take really good care of my toys too that they'll likely last forever.  I’m super food motivated too so you could likely teach my any commands you want.  There really isn't anything I wouldn't do for a good smelly treat, I would absolutely excel in an obedience class.  I love going on walks too, especially when we run into new friends! I just love pretty much everyone.  I even like cats! I have learned that some kitties are not interested in playing but others enjoy playing with me as much as other dogs. My absolute favorite thing in the entire world is when I get to spend time with my foster mama.  I love nothing more than getting pets, belly rubs, and plopping onto foster mom's lap for extra close cuddles.  She even lets me sleep with her at night and it makes me sooooo unbelievably happy that I curl up right against her back.  She really says I am truly the best cuddler in the world.  And if I’m not cuddling on the cough, I am probably sitting on the cough like a human. It makes me feel special. Now while foster mom says I am pretty much perfect, I do have one area that I still struggle with a bit. Now mind you, I have made leaps and bounds in this category but sometimes I still have potty accidents. These are few and far between if you follow some easy instructions: let me out regularly throughout the day, make sure you let me out as soon as we wake up in the morning and before we go to bed, and keep me crated if you leave the home in a special crate that foster mom can discuss with you in further detail. These simple things really prevent 99% of accidents. Also, did I mention, I easily go into my crate every morning before mom goes to work? So, what do you think, are you ready to add the sweetest, most amazing pittie girl to your life?  If so, I'm your gal.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Hi, I’m Nova! Some of my favorite things are being invited up on the couch to cuddle, quickly doing tricks so you’ll just give me the treat already!, and watching the squirrels as I lounge in the grass, so long as there’s no exploring to do. I also enjoy warm fireplaces, sunshine, or a cozy vent. I'm good around kids but I don't like when they try to touch me and follow me around, so babies or older kids are great. Unfortunately my babies are turning into kids so my parents think I’d enjoy a home with some older people that I can stick around with all day and not be bothered by little people. Some dogs are my best friend, but I tend to be better with smaller or submissive dogs. I’ll miss messing around with my kitties, but the goodbyes won’t bother me too much - especially if you plan any fun adventures I can join! I like being active but don’t let that fool you, I’m quiet and chill most of the day. 🐾
