This handsome boy is Manny, a 4-year-old pit bull mix located in NJ. We rescued him in Oct of last year after he spent 2 long years in a shelter, & we just want to make sure Manny finds a home where he can truly thrive. Manny is sweet, loyal, & affectionate. He’s a total cuddle bug, loves playing fetch, going for walks, snacking, absolutely loves bath time, & just hanging out with his person. Manny is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, & house-trained, with no health issues. Medical records are available. We reached out to the shelter & local rescues, but they were unable to take him, & returning him to the shelter could put him at serious risk of being put down as they are severely overcrowded. We are heartbroken & desperate to find him a safe, patient, & loving home. We’re not sure how he would be around other pets or super young children as our household has neither. However, the children he has been around who have been houseguests, have been fine.

I am currently living with a wonderful family who have been taking really good care of me, but since I want to be the only dog in the family, unfortunately, this can’t be my forever home, which is really what I am looking for. I am super chilled, not a barker, crate trained, housebroken, I love car rides, I am definitely not an early riser, dog friendly, not food aggressive, I take my meds well and am up to date on all my vet visits. I also love the challenge of a good, hard chew toy. To sum it up, I’m just an easy going, sweet and loving boy who likes to snuggle and make everyone happy. I do want to tell you that I have a few little quirks. I need to take daily medication, need a weekly allergy shot and also a weekly bath. I am allergic to cats, need a little assistance getting in and out of the car and can only tolerate short walks due to my short legs. I am also cordial to everyone that I meet when out for a stroll. Oh, also, I don’t like heat and humidity, but then again, who does…UGH! While it might sound selfish that I want to be the only dog and don’t like to share my humans, it simply means that I will devote myself to you and only you if given the chance.
