Story
Name: Petunia-Grace (Petunia, Poots, Tuni, Gracie) Age: 9 years Breed: Pitbull mix Background: Petunia has faced numerous challenges throughout her life, finding herself in and out of the shelter nearly her entire life due to circumstances beyond her control. Sadly, she returned to the shelter once more when her owner unexpectedly passed away last year. Despite her tumultuous past, Petunia remains hopeful that her forever person is out there waiting for her. Personality: Initially wary and untrusting of new people, Petunia takes time to warm up and reveal her true nature. Once she forms a bond, her loyalty and affection are boundless. She's a dedicated protector, always seeking to be by her person's side and offering comfort through cuddles and belly rubs. Despite being a 9-year-old "couch potato," Petunia has a sweet disposition and the most captivating puppy dog eyes. Ideal Home: Petunia would thrive in a calm or quiet environment without other pets, where she can focus her attention on showering her chosen person with love and devotion. With the right person, Petunia will love fiercely and unconditionally, becoming an irreplaceable companion. She is very low energy and would love a home where she can hangout with you on the couch. Final Thoughts: Petunia is a sweet and affectionate soul longing for a stable and loving home. If you believe in her and are willing to dedicate the time to earn her trust, she will repay you with unwavering loyalty and love. Please consider giving Petunia the chance she deserves to be part of a family once again.

Story
Name: Roo-Roo Age: 3 years Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pit mix Background: Roo-Roo was discovered by an apartment complex dumpster and found her way to the shelter in April of last year. Despite her patience and sweet nature, she's been awaiting a forever family for an entire year now. Personality: Initially reserved around strangers, Roo-Roo takes her time to warm up and trust new people, especially men. Once she feels secure, her true personality shines through, revealing an affectionate and playful goofball. She delights in performing playful bows and wiggling her butt in the air, bringing joy to those around her. While she may have occasional bursts of energy, Roo-Roo is typically low-energy, enjoying sunbathing or lounging in her bed. Ideal Home: Roo-Roo would thrive in a stable and loving home environment where she can continue to build trust and feel secure. She may prefer the company of male dogs or those who are submissive, but formal dog testing has not been conducted. Due to her tendency to resource guard her food, it's recommended to feed her separately and avoid placing her in a home with young children for safety reasons. Final Thoughts: Despite her rocky start, Roo-Roo is a sweet and deserving girl who simply needs a chance to shine. If you're ready to provide her with the love and companionship she deserves, visit the shelter during opening hours to spend quality time with Roo-Roo. With the right family, she's sure to bring warmth and charm into your life, proving just how wonderful life can be with her by your side.

Story
Name: Willa Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog mix Age: 4 years old Background: Willa was adopted but unfortunately returned to the shelter after just two weeks. Despite her brief time in a home, she left a lasting impression with her intelligence and sweetness. She originally joined the shelter on August 24th and has been awaiting her forever home ever since. Personality: Willa is a stunning and affectionate girl with a heart of gold. She's smart and eager to please, already learning commands like "heel," "lay down," and leash training during her short adoption. Willa has good manners, taking treats gently and refraining from jumping on people. She's described as a cuddle bug and enjoys reciprocating affection with gentle "petting" using her paw. Her tail wags enthusiastically, and she'll even do a playful bow to show her excitement. She is a perfect balance of low and medium energy - she is content to lounge and play with toys by herself, but she also enjoys the occasional hike or adventure. Ideal Home: Willa is seeking a confident, gentle, and experienced owner who understands her needs. Although she's incredibly sweet and smart, she may occasionally exhibit resource guarding or protective behaviors. She would do well as an only dog or with a male dog, as she enjoys their company and loves to play and follow them around. She acts dominant towards the female dogs in the shelter, so meet and greets are recommended. Final Thoughts: Willa is a wonderful companion waiting for the perfect match. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and intelligent canine companion, come meet Willa at the shelter during opening hours. She's sure to steal your heart with her charm and loving nature.

Story
G-Dog is a young, gentle happy-go-lucky pup whose entire back end wiggles when he is happy, which is pretty much all the time! He had lived outdoors and was pretty neglected before Angels to the Animals rescued him. G-Dog adapts well to any situation as he now loves living with his foster family where he enjoys playing with their large dog and their 2 teenage boys. Prior to being rescued, he played well with a small chihuahua so he likes all shapes and sized. G loves toys and can be somewhat possessive of them with other dogs so this needs to be watched. G-Dog is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccines and is heartworm negative. He is an affectionate, friendly boy who is funny and loves kisses. Please give this sweetheart a chance and email info@angelstotheanimals.org to arrange a meet and greet or request an application. You will love making him a part of your family - he will love you forever!

Story
Hi, I'm Christine. I'm a very playful and friendly, 1 year old white pittie and I love my toys and taking baths. I love people and think of myself as a lap puppy even though I'm 59 lbs. I also like being petted and during the last adoption event, I really loved meeting all the other dogs there. Lots of people think pit bulls are aggressive but not me - I want to love all over everyone I meet and I play really well with other dogs. I might be partially deaf which is not uncommon with white pitties. I would do best with someone who has an active lifestyle. I'm learning more about manners every day, like about walking on the leash, when not to jump and not to play bite so it would be great if whoever adopts me will continue to help me learn all of this stuff so I can be the best dog I can be. I do need a fenced in yard and I like kids but since I'm pretty strong, it might be best if I'm adopted to a home with children over 10. I'm spayed, up-to-date on my vaccines, am heartworm negative, am potty trained and crate trained. I'm a love bug and can be a coach potato when I'm not wanting to play, play, play. Please give me a chance - I so deserve a loving home!! Please email info@angelstotheanimals.org to request more info or an application or arrange a meet and greet!!!!

Story
This girl is extra special to Angels! Bailey is an approx 2-3 yr old pittie-boxer mix who absolutely adores every human she has ever met! We believe she would love to play with another pup as well but the problem is she is a BIG, STRONG girl who is not leash trained (yet), and doesn't realize her size & strength (yet). She has never been an indoor dog so does not have manners (yet) or know boundaries (yet). Nor have we been able to introduce her to other dogs (yet). The key words here are "YET", because this loving girl is in a 3-week in-house training course where she is learning all these wonderful things so that when she graduates on 11/27, she is completely ready to move into her first foster or adopted home! Getting a rescue pup already trained is pretty awesome so we are taking applications NOW so that she doesn't have to go back to living outdoors and losing all that she learned in school. Bailey is attending her training program at Dog Pros in Mooresville who we have used in the past and are excellent. We have no doubt Bailey will graduate with honors! We can most likely arrange a meet and greet with her while she is there. In addition, if we have an approved foster or adopter by the time she finishes, you will have several one on one lessons still paid for by us with her trainer so YOU can learn how to continue to work with her afterward, which is icing on the cake. This is an ideal situation so please reach out if you might be interested in bringing this awesome girl into your home right after Thanksgiving. Please email info@angelstotheanimals.org for more info. What a beautiful Christmas gift for Bailey and for your family!
