Story
Carly is a wonderful dog who is extremely smart and well tuned to her humans' emotions. She loves giving and receiving affection, and will often reach up and give you hugs. She is great with dogs her own size or larger, but I would not recommend her to be in the same household with cats or dogs under 30 lbs. She knows basic commands and is easily trained. She's great on a leash. Carly wants to be with her humans all the time, unless it's to play with her dog friends! She'd happily share her home with dogs her own size or larger, though I'm sure she'd have no problem being the center of attention as well! We are looking to rehome her because we are dealing with a huge loss in our household and she is very sensitive to our emotions. Carly deserves to be happy and stress-free, and we cannot give her that for the foreseeable future. She deserves to go to a home and family where she is safe, loved, happy and whole.

Meet our sweet Tommy with his cute little scrunch face! This is a shy kid who doesn't trust quickly when it comes to humans but boy oh boy put a dog by his side and he really shows us his personality! Tommy may take a minute to trust but he is extremely gentle before and after he has gained your love. He will sit by your side to receive gentle pets forever if he could and he loves a good treat! Tommy is a great dog who could really be placed with anyone that understands his gentle nature and need for a calm environment. Even so we would love for him to go home with one or multiple dogs since it would help him better acclimate to the home, the world and not to mention would build his confidence everyday!

Meet our Boo baby who is full of life and energy, always looking for something to do or someone to hangout with! Boo is a new tripod and he handled it so well, it honestly didn't really phase him because he is still a super fast runner and as playful as ever. Boo has done well with dogs and loves to play but he needs to go with a dog who will be somewhat gentle with him so he doesn't fall too often. This kid could honestly go in any home with any amount of people! He Is ver social and adventurous. Boo is somewhat of a velcro dog and in the shelter has seemed to never want to be alone. In foster he has done amazing and has said to be a great house guest!

Hi my name is Romano! I’m the softest little guy with the sweetest eyes.  I am crate trained and like to have my blanket, toys and water in there with me.  I have an another adult dog and cat that I live with and we all coexist nicely. Although, the cat is still not sure about me sometimes.  I sit to put my leash on and when I come back inside for my treat.  I like to go potty outside but I'm still a puppy so occasionally have an accident inside --but not many.  I love to have my kennel available for afternoon naps but I also like to curl up with my foster mom and she puts me to sleep.   I would love a fenced back yard so I can run and be free!  I don’t mind the leash but am still learning not to get under feet.  I love to chew on rawhide free bones and sticks!  My foster family says that I’m so smart and whoever is lucky enough to adopt me will hopefully help me become my very best self through consistent training.  If you think you can give me the best life for the rest of my life, then please submit an application!  Love, Romano Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
