This is Brandy. She's a 3 year old medium size pit mix. She's extremely affectionate with people, especially women. She doesn't do well around cats and smaller animals and would be best suited in a home where she is the only dog and there are no small children. She is excellent on the leash, loves car rides and belly rubs and is high energy. ~~ Adoption donation $ 200. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Story
Tigger is 4 years old, he’s a corgi, chihuahua, labrador, pitbull mix and he’s the sweetest pup i’ve ever met. It breaks my heart to need to rehome him but we’ve come to learn he doesn’t get along with young kids and we have 2 children under 4 years old and we’ve had to keep him crated a lot more than we’d like to and it really isn’t fair to him. He has a super happy bubbly personality, he’d be an excellent companion to someone looking for a happy go lucky dog with lots of energy and spunk around 35 pounds. His special needs include needing some extra love and care because the transition will be hard on him, he needs a slow feeder or a maze bowl because he gets way too excited for his meals, and he needs some work as far as training goes. Only thing i ask is his new family keeps me involved as far as pics and things like that because i’ve had him since he was 7 weeks old and he’ll always have my heart, and that if things don’t work out they reach back out to me so i can help.

Story
Turbeau aka Beau we adopted from Forsyth Human Society in March of 2021. He has come out of his shell and worked on his manners of learning to live inside. He is an energetic and curious boy who loves to play fetch and then is also content to cuddle. He lives with a doggy sister and several cat siblings- gets along with them all. He is protective of food and toys which we have worked on. He enjoys walks and has done well learning to walk with a gentle leader. He is reactive to other dogs when on walks, especially littler dogs. Beau has lots of separation anxiety and general anxiety with new or unknown situations which we have found medication to work best making him more comfortable. He is crate and house trained. He thinks of his crate as his safe place. He would love to be in a home where he is the only dog or a larger female dog. He very much would love to be the center of attention. He also would need a home with no young children.

Story
Meet Scrappy - an affectionate and playful pup looking for his forever home. Scrappy is the perfect side-kick when you’re out and about and loves people once he has been properly introduced to them. He is particular about the other dogs he is around. He’s an expert at fetch and loves tennis balls, squeakers and chew toys. He’s working on his leash skills and is currently not crate trained. Scrappy is incredibly loyal and believes his job is to protect his home and family - so would do best in a stable environment without a lot of strangers. Not recommended in a home that has cats or other small animals.

Story
Luke and his sister came into Ruff Love Rescue as a bonded pair.  They came to us after their previous owner encountered medical issues that left her unable to continue to care for them.  Luke and his sister Lizzie didn't care too much for other dogs, but they loved one another and were devoted to one another. Unfortunately, in April of 2024, Lizzie's health deteriorated significantly and she died, leaving Luke alone, without his sister.  He is, as you can imagine, a little lost without his sister. He doesn't like it when another dog gets in his face, so to be safe, it would be best if he were an only dog. Luke's vet estimated year of birth is 2011.   Luke is such a sweet dog.  He would make a great companion, especially to someone who can provide a warm room with a soft bed and a loving touch.  Luke is house trained. He's a sweet older gentleman who would love a home.  Could you make sure the rest of his life is the best of his life?  ~~ Adoption donation $150. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and altered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Visit www.ruffloverescue.com to make this pup a member of your familyApril 22, 2024, 12:53 pm
