Hello! Meet, Ivy, Athena, chance and Panda! We are all 8 weeks old, we have began our age appropriate shots, had our first vet visit been dewormed, and on heart worm preventive. You will be required to continue to get all FOUR distemper vaccinations as well as spay/neuter. The puppies and their mother came from a Hoarding situation unfortunately their mother died from complications. Puppies have continued to progress. All have been coming outside and learning how to use bathroom outside. All are crate training with little accidents. A puppy is a big responsibility that requires a lot of attention. All are very sweet.

JR recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what his DDO buddy had to say! 1st DDO: "Meet JR! Took him out today for a Doggie Day out and: He loves loves being out in the woods. He is a good walker. Does the occasional sniff cause he is very curious but comes to as soon as you call him! JR would be a fantastic buddy to anyone or any active family. He likes to get his hike on, but as you can see, he's also a beach bum. He loved the coolness of the sand. Wasn't too sure about the water but would just hang out with you as you read a book or sunbathe. He needs some help getting in the car but once in, he is ready to get to his destination! Even if that's just a pup cup! This guy loves rubs and would probably be a fantastic snuggle buddy! We were out for adventure time today but his tail was a waggin and he was looking for loving when he could get it! Great all around class act pupper!!" 2nd DDO: "Meet JR! He's a very well behaved boy who's very affectionate! When you squat down to his level, he likes to rub up against you and push his full weight into you for as much love as possible! We went for a walk in the park today. He saw all kinds of animals and didn't pull on his leash once! He's very even-tempered and did a great job in public. He was pretty nervous about being in the car at first, but by the end of the day he was very calm and comfortable in the car. I think he'll get over his car anxiety quickly with more exposure. - 4yrs old, 70lb - great in public and very easy to walk - friendly with everyone he meets - non-reactive to passing dogs, squirrels, birds, etc. - treat motivated - nervous in the car but getting used to it!" Chocolate Roses recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what her DDO buddy had to say! "I just had the best time on a Dogs Day Out with beautiful Chocolate Roses - a 48 lb., 5 YO Pitt Bull Terrier sweetie. She was eager to jump in the car and quietly chilled out during our drive. We hiked several miles in the woods, had lunch, went to All Pets Considered for a bath, and then checked out Griffin Community Park. She needs time to release her kennel energy, but is then ready to explore with her feet and nose. I learned from out time together that she is: Friendly towards people and dogs. Maintains manageable leash tension. All in with creeks and puddles. Excited at any chance to roll in grass. Quiet, never heard her bark today. Very treat-motivated, but gentle. A tennis ball fetching machine. This is an athletic lady, so she will need a fenced yard to run and play! We ran a bit on the trail and she maintained a good line, so may be a great running buddy. This lady has been at Guilford County Animal Services for nearly two months, so is ready to be adopted from 12-4:00 any day but Tuesday." Bentley has a firm swelling on the right size of his face under his eye. This swelling is typically due to a tooth root abscess, but it has not resolved with typical treatment in the shelter. It is possible that he has a persistent abscess or a cyst. To diagnose and treat, he needs dental radiographs. He does not appear painful, and is eating normally. He should be evaluated by a veterinarian to take his dental radiographs and treat as appropriate. Quote from a 5 year old critic - "Toodie is the best dog EVER!" Toodie recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what her DDO buddy had to say! "Sweet Toodie and I had the nicest day relaxing and getting in some much needed rest after her spay. She took a few minutes to warm up to me but once she realized she could trust me, she was all for the snuggles and pets. She didn't have any accidents all day, was quiet, rode wonderfully in the car, and walked so nicely on the leash." 2nd DDO: "Meet Toodie! She's a 4 and a half year old girl Mike and I had the pleasure of taking out last weekend. We picked her up for her Dogs Day Out, she jumped in the car and laid down ready to go wherever. First thing we did was take her to get her picture with the Easter Bunny at the Natural Dog in High Point. She non stop snorts in the most adorable way when she's pleased! Then a walk at the Arboretum, Ozzie's for ice cream (which she wasn't sure about at first then wagged her tail continuously with every lick to the delight of everyone watching) Then to Hops Spring Garden for lunch. Toodie is a snorting joyous girl. I don't know if I've ever met a dog who LOVES people the way she does. She greeted everyone, and I mean everyone, we encountered calmly and kindly. She especially loves kids, just staring at them and wagging her tail waiting for them to come say hello. She was a big hit everywhere she went. One person we encountered said you can 100% tell this girl is ready for a family life. She will make a fantastic addition to anyone's family." 3rd DDO: "Toodie is a special, sweet girl that my son and I had the privilege to take on a DDO today 4 years old Spayed HW negative Food/treat motivated We started our day at Gibson Park where we walked the trails. I immediately learned that Toodie LOVES to sniff, she had nose to ground almost the entire time and makes the cutest snorting sound After leaving the park we headed to Sweetwater Court Private Dog Playground and Gardens which is always my favorite part. She sniffed around some more, ran around with my son and I, and also just enjoyed relaxing a bit. Next, we cooled off in my apartment for a bit before heading downtown. Toodie is so sweet with people and wants to go up to everyone for a pet. She got lots of attention downtown. She really enjoyed getting a pup cup from Awoo coffee shop and lots of pets here. Lastly, we walked back to my apartment and Toodie just snoozed beside me on the couch the whole time. She made me pick her up and put her on the couch she must've been tired after our day full of fun. Things to know: She is house trained. VERY sweet and loving. Just a precious angel. I would say medium energy. She enjoys running around and walking, but also content to sit with you or lay beside you on the couch after burning some energy. She does pull hard on the leash, but gets better the more energy she burns. She is a strong girly! Especially when following a scent. Apparently, she was previously a loose leash walker, but her stress has had an impact on this. I think she'll improve in time once in a permanent home. Rides great in the car. She lays down almost the whole time and also likes to catch a breeze looking out the window. She took treats very gently, even from my 5 year olds tiny hand. Good with small children. She was very gentle and sweet with my son. She never knocked him down, never jumped on him, he even fell on the ground near her and she just waited for him to get up." Gar recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what his DDO buddy had to say! "Hi I'm GAR! I am... 7 years old HeartWorm Negative Med Energy Easy On Leash Good Car Rider Treat Motivated Toy Motivated LOVES balls Good With Kids Dog Reactive Me and Gar went out on a Doggy Day Out! Gar was easy to get in and out of his kennel. He was a bit weary of getting in the car but after some coaxing with a treat he jumped right on in! He was a VERY good car rider just laid down or watched out the window. We first went to the park and took a walk he is very easy on leash and will walk next to or slightly in front of you. He does get excited when taking treats so you have to tell him easy and he will calm down to take the treat. We then went and hung out for a bit and he was very into playing ball. He loves to run around and hit the ball with his feet and go get it again. He did meet my 5 year old and was a good boy and didn't jump on him or show any signs of being uncomfortable around a tiny human. We then went back to the park for a car show and he was very well mannered around crowds of people and would stop for pets every chance he got. We did run into another dog on our walk and as that dog approached he did show a bit of aggression and growled/barked at the other dog so would recommend him to be the only dog. Over all Gar is a sweet boy who needs someone to love on him give him all the pets and play some ball." 2nd DDO: "I had the absolute pleasure of taking Gar, a 7 year old terrier, on a Dog Day Out yesterday. We had a great day going to a sniffspot and to Lowe's. Meet my new buddy! This guy doesn't mind a car ride! Gar will lay down and just cruise with you. When we got to the sniffspot, he was so excited to have all that space to himself that he didn't notice the pup cup waiting for him. He began doing this really cute wiggle walk toward the pup cup. You should've seen it! After Gar's pup cup, I held up toys one by one as he sniffed and licked a few before choosing his favorite (soccer ball, pictured). I threw it for him and he would bring it back and plop happily on the grass, and chew away. Balls are his favorite! He would do best in a home with lots of durable balls to chew and run after. Gar even enjoyed the herding ball! He didn't quite realize he couldn't chew it, though he didn't give up trying! You should check out the video of his after-chew rollies (there's also a video of his favorite past time: belly rubs!) After the sniffspot, we went to Lowe's because, let's be honest, I can always make a trip to Lowe's. Gar was so well-behaved, though he did pull on the leash hard when he saw other dogs. He growled at one that got close to his personal space, but after I pulled him away, he continued perusing the aisles like nothing happened. A nice man helped him decide on some cabinet handles, and Gar thanked the man with lots of kisses. If you would like to adopt a sweet and fun-loving guy, Gar is your man!
