Story
Quavo seems like a very happy dog.  This 8 year old boy was adopted in 2016 but ended up back at the shelter as a stray this past September.  He seems great with other dogs, friendly with people, and has a very gentle personality.  Plus he smiles a lot!  Quavo is really a great dog. ##1838602##

Story
I got Lola from my manager at work, she couldn’t keep her anymore because she is not allowed to have her breed at her complex. Lola is a very energetic, happy and loving and she deserves to be in a good home that will give her the attention she needs. I am not able to do it because I have a busy work schedule and when I come home at night she wants to play but I am always so tired and I cannot do it. She is smart, and command trained (knows commands like “sit”, “down”, “no”, “easy”, “get in your cage”), she’s so sweet. I am also afraid that soon I will not be able to afford her and that I will have to surrender her to a shelter, which I do not want to do, I want to place her in a nice loving home. She’s not aggressive and she just wants to be loved on.

Story
Notes from Zulu's foster mom! "Meet Zulu! He is currently living with us in foster. Here's what we have learned about this sweetheart. *Zulu loves people; hangin' out shootin' the breeze is his thing. *He loves a walk although he is not the Energizer Bunny; a brisk 15 minutes and he's ready to sploot in some soft grass and pose for bio pics. *Zulu loves a comfy bed and is quite the snoozer. He loves napping outside on the deck in his doggie bed. *He did well in his crate overnight from the get go; no accidents, a little whining initially but nothing after 5-7 mins, and last night there was none at all! *Fine going back into his crate with a little treat. *Loves a frozen peanut butter and kibble slow feeder bowl. *We've seen rabbits , squirrels , and birds on our walks, and Zulu is interested but doesn't go bananas - no barking, growling, or straining on the leash. When they move out of sight he carries on with what he was doing - out of sight out of mind it seems. It has been the same with our cats at home. He has been on leash during all of these encounters. It has warmed our hearts immensely to see this deserving boy enjoy all the comforts of home. We feel privileged to be able to watch him relax and feel his way into being a family dog. Zulu is available for adoption at Guilford County Animal Services to a lucky person or family! He deserves the best of everything." As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
