Pongo is a 4 year old, 33 pound, sweet as can be pup! While his parents are unknown, Pongo resembles a Boston Terrier on stilts and he has the most hilarious ears that stand up and then flop over to the side. They are too cute! Pongo is a higher energy guy that loves to play! While he does well with his furry foster siblings, he does tend to participate in high energy play, which might be off putting to some dogs. He would do very well in a home with another dog that likes to play and isn't intimidated by Pongo being in their face. Pongo is very sweet to all humans in his foster home, but the best permanent home would be one without small children. Pongo is well behaved in his crate and is working hard to perfect potty training. He would do best in a home willing to participate in professional training to help Pongo become his best self. So the name Archer brings to mind several things- say I am shooting arrows of love...looking for my family :) Or I am "Archer" the cartoon investigator guy- spies and espionage, all while wearing a handsome trench coat :) Yes that is who I identify with :) I am ARCHER, the super sleuth who will steal your heart while you gaze at my picture :) I am smart and very very happy. I am also deaf so I want to put that out there right here. I am deaf but I listen with my heart! And i am so so happy to be alive and NOT tied to a tree! Yup, YOU heard that right... My buddy Armstrong and I were found tied to a tree by our "owners" and left without shade/water or food.... the POPO saved us :) So, here we are, hanging with the rescue peeps and LOVING our new life... EXCEPT we just want real homes! I have been diagnosed with heart worms and am halfway through with my treatment, so will be ready for adoption and transport end of June to early July :) That just gives you more time to get ready for me!!! Hey guys, I'm Chook, which means Chicken in Australian! Fancy, amiright? I am a Bully Breed mix with a soft, rich red coat and quirky ears. I'm not very big, maybe 42 pounds. My story is an eventful one, as I was rescued from a situation where a bystander was trying to be helpful, but unfortunately couldn't keep up with the responsibilities of being a private foster pawrent. Thankfully, I met my current foster pawrents though! I'm luckier than a lot of dogs, because they're Dog Trainers! How cool is that?! They've been teaching me all kinds of cool things, like sit, down, or my favorite Place! Oh, and how to respond to directional guidance on the leash. I am shy in the beginning, but I'm a rootin, tootin little bullet when I'm comfortable. I love to vocalize and run around like a silly goose in the backyard. I'd do okay in a house with older teens, but absolutely no young children. I have a VERY mouthy play style when I am playing with my humans. I am very very dog social, though I can be a bit pushy at times, but I am easily corrected. Which means I'd love to go to a home with other dogs! I haven't been tested around cats, though.
