Story
Korbel is a great dog. My wife and I adopted him 5 years ago from the Humane Society when we were newly married. We now have two kids and have no time for him. He’s great with our kids, he’s a fun dog and loves to play, loves to go on walks, and love to sleep! For his next home we are hoping for someone who can give him lots of attention and affection. He’d be a great dog if you’re looking for a good companion/ friend. And he loves to snuggle under a blanket… He’s loyal, affectionate, attentive, and goofy.

Story
Before her rescue, Ripley was a devoted mom to a litter of puppies. Now, it’s finally her turn to be pampered and spoiled. She loves people and greets everyone with tail wags and enthusiasm—sometimes a little too much excitement, but with some gentle reminders, she’s quick to learn. Ripley is a spirited, high-energy 3-year-old who’s ready to find a forever home that matches her zest for life! This athletic girl lives for movement—she loves to run, play, and will gleefully destroy any toy that crosses her path. She’s fantastic with other dogs and adores children, making her a great match for an active family with kids or playful pups. Ripley thrives in a home that’s always on the go—whether it’s hikes, runs, or backyard zoomies, she’s all in. A quiet, laid-back lifestyle just isn’t her thing; she’s looking for a household that’s as energetic as she is. Ripley is crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands like “sit.” She’s also super smart and very treat-motivated, so training is a breeze with the right snacks and consistency. Important note: Ripley cannot be in a home with cats or small animals. She has a strong prey drive and takes her “squirrel patrol” duties very seriously—your yard will be rodent-free! If your home is filled with energy, love, and adventure, Ripley just might be your perfect match. Ready to make her part of your pack? ##2223382##

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com This beautiful 6-year-old, 54-pound Pit mix is ready for a fresh start and a family to call her own. Freya is a smart, treat-motivated girl who proudly shows off her skills — she can sit, shake, and even catch treats mid-air (though she’ll happily take them gently from your hand too). She pulls slightly on leash but is quick to stop when she knows you’ve got snacks! This middle-aged sweetheart settles into her crate faster than you can say “good girl” — often snoozing before you’ve even left the room. Freya does not get along with other dogs or cats and will need a home without other animals. She does great with kids, and she’s currently attending training classes, learning quickly, and trying her very best to be the perfect girl. Freya’s story is just beginning, and we can’t wait to watch her blossom into the happy, loved pup she was always meant to be. Stay tuned for updates on her amazing transformation! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 6 years Adoption Fee: $300

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Ozzie is a 7-year-old, 60-pound Pit mix with the sweetest heart and the softest soul. This handsome boy is crate trained, potty trained, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids — truly the full package! He’s currently working on his leash manners and already knows a few great commands like sit, down, and stay. While toys aren’t really his thing yet, he’s definitely intrigued by the sound of a good squeaker. Ozzie is a love bug through and through, happiest when he’s close to his people — he’d love nothing more than to be your shadow (and he’s happy to share his love with a family of any size!). The first part of Ozzie’s life wasn’t what he deserved, as shown by a long scar down his spine and the way he occasionally ducks when a hand moves too quickly. But despite it all, his gentle, trusting nature shines through. He’s truly a picture of forgiveness and love. In his foster home, Ozzie has been an absolute dream guest — calm, affectionate, and endlessly sweet. He’s working on curbing his excitement when greeting people (sometimes he jumps or paws for attention), and he’s making amazing progress! Ozzie would thrive in a patient home where he can continue learning and feel safe, loved, and cherished every day. A home with someone who appreciates a super soft, living “weighted blanket” would be just perfect. MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Say hello to Parkour, a 10-month-old, 60-pound Pit mix who lives life at full speed and full joy! This athletic boy earned his name for a reason — he can run, jump, and bounce like there’s no tomorrow, and he brings pure puppy enthusiasm to everything he does. Parkour is deaf, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. He’s currently learning hand signals and responds wonderfully to structure, routine, and positive reinforcement. He’s still very much a pup and can be a little mouthy with those sharp puppy teeth, but he redirects beautifully with guidance. This boy thrives with clear boundaries, consistent training, and someone who can be both firm and patient as he continues to grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Parkour is: Dog friendly Cat friendly Toy obsessed Very treat motivated A champion leaf chaser A fan of long walks and big adventures Parkour is full of life, full of love, and full of potential.
