Story

My wife brought him home from a place he wasn't be cared for. As a puppy acted as a puppy should, playful, full of energy. We didn't think he would get as big as he is.We also at the time we acquired Shadow we had 3 other dogs. 1 male and 2 females. One day while I was at work my wife told me that Shadow and our other male dog got into a fight. At first the water bottle trick broke them up,however as more and more of the fighting continued it became more difficult to break them up.Luckily I was the only that got bit in the process of breaking them up.My step daughter her child and boyfriend lived with us and witnessed the fights. He never showed aggression towards their child. They found a house to live in close by,so they said they would take Shadow to live with them.I would go sit with him when they had people over, because they were not sure how he would act towards strange people. He is very protective and as my wife puts it "a great cuddler". Will explain more to adopting people.

Story

Marley is a young, 11-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix looking for a more active lifestyle. He was originally found as a stray and adopted by my mom, but as a senior, she hasn’t been able to provide him the stimulation he needs for his energy levels. We are looking for an adoring family who can dedicate the time, energy, and love that he deserves.Marley is:• 26% Pit Bull with shepherd, terrier, and hound mixes• The cuddliest and most emotionally in-tune dog I’ve ever met• Great with other dogs and loves playing fetch • Neutered, fully vaccinated, and micro chipped• A water lover who enjoys trips to the riverMarley would do best with an owner who can spend time playing and training in a medium to large yard. While he is hesitant with strangers and protective of his home, he has no history of aggression and is a loyal companion. With the right family, he will make an excellent family and protection dog.Rehoming fee (simply to deter bad applications): $80

Story

Before her rescue, Ripley was a devoted mom to a litter of puppies. Now, it’s finally her turn to be pampered and spoiled. She loves people and greets everyone with tail wags and enthusiasm—sometimes a little too much excitement, but with some gentle reminders, she’s quick to learn. Ripley is a spirited, high-energy 4-year-old who’s ready to find a forever home that matches her zest for life! This athletic girl lives for movement—she loves to run, play, and will gleefully destroy any toy that crosses her path. She’s fantastic with other dogs and adores children, making her a great match for an active family with kids or playful pups. Ripley thrives in a home that’s always on the go—whether it’s hikes, runs, or backyard zoomies, she’s all in. A quiet, laid-back lifestyle just isn’t her thing; she’s looking for a household that’s as energetic as she is. Ripley is crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands like “sit.” She’s also super smart and very treat-motivated, so training is a breeze with the right snacks and consistency. Important note: Ripley cannot be in a home with cats or small animals. She has a strong prey drive and takes her “squirrel patrol” duties very seriously—your yard will be rodent-free! If your home is filled with energy, love, and adventure, Ripley just might be your perfect match. Ready to make her part of your pack? ##2223382##

🐾💙 Meet Tots! 💙🐾 🎾 A ball-chasing, people-loving, cuddle-craving good boy! 🎾 🐶 Tots is a 29-pound Pit mix, born 03/13/26, who has already been through more than any puppy should. He and his brother were left together in a crate on the streets of Cleveland, but thankfully, their story didn't end there. ❤️ 💕 A Few Things to Know About Tots: 🐶 Good with dogs 👧 Good with kids 🐱 Good with cats 🚽 Potty trained 🏡 Crate trained — he may voice his displeasure when he can't be right beside his people, but don't worry… he settles down quickly! 😂 🧠 Knows sit and no 🎾 LOVES to play fetch and will happily chase a ball until he's ready for a cuddle break! 🥰 Total people pleaser who wants nothing more than to be near his humans 🧠 Super smart and a quick learner 🐾 Loves to play, but once the zoomies are over, he's perfectly happy curling up beside you for a cozy nap. 💤❤️ 💙 Tots can be a little sensitive to quick movements and loud noises or voices, which can make him cringe. Story

🐾💕 Meet Ellie! 💕🐾 After spending 6 wonderful years in a home, Ellie found herself back with the rescue through absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 She may not understand why her world changed, but she hasn't let that stop her from being the happy, loving, goofy girl she’s always been. Ellie is ready to find the family who will make her “forever” truly forever. ❤️ ✨ Ellie’s Favorite Things & Superpowers: 🐶 6-year-old Pit Mix with a whole lot of love to give! 🏡 Potty & house trained — she already knows how to be an excellent house dog! 🐕 Dog friendly and loves having fun! 👧 Kid friendly and ready for family adventures! 🐱 Cats are a definite NO, thank you! Ellie has a high prey drive, so a cat-free home is a must. 🎓 Smart girl alert! Ellie knows sit, stay, down, wait, spin & come! 👏 🎾 Ball & frisbee fanatic! Throw it and she’s ready to play! 🧸 Loves playing tug with her stuffies and showing off her toy skills! 🥎 Excellent at playing catch — whether it’s a toy OR a tasty treat! 😋 🚶‍♀️ Loves her walks! She is currently working on ignoring distractions and staying focused while out exploring. 👀 Because of her prey drive, Ellie may become interested in things that move, but she’s working hard on learning to keep her focus on her humans. ⚖️ Ellie is carrying a few extra pounds, but she's officially on a get-fit plan! 💪 Her love of walks will definitely help those pounds come off. ❤️ Loves scratches, affection, and hanging out with her humans — but she's also wonderfully respectful and knows when it's time to give her people some space. 🍽️ No dinner-table diva here! Ellie doesn't beg while her humans are eating. 🙌 🛁 Baths? No problem! Ellie is very good for baths and nail trims. 👗 Dress-up approved! She patiently tolerates being dressed up like the good sport she is. 😂💕 🛏️ Crate trained — and she'll happily go into her crate when asked! 💖 Ellie is such a special girl. She's smart, affectionate, playful, well-mannered, and happiest when she's included in her people's lives. She knows how to have fun, but she also knows how to settle down and simply enjoy being near her humans. She gave her first family six years of love, and now she’s hoping someone will give her the one thing she deserves most: a forever home that won't give up on her. 🥹❤️ 🏡 Ellie is ready. Her bags are packed. Her frisbee is waiting. Now she just needs YOU. 🐾💕 Age: 6 years Adoption Fee: $250 MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm.
