This big boy was found at a park by one of our street team members and happily walked right into our facility. Hondo's most distinctive feature is definitely his ears. They are pointy and turn inward, flopping here and there as he runs. Hondo puts his ears to good use, as he listens well to commands. He knows sit, down, and shake, and it’s certain this smarty can learn a few more tricks along the way! Hondo appreciates a good head scratch while he sits beside your feet; however, he often seems more interested in seeing what's going on around him. He loves to walk, run, and jump around—those sorts of things. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Sweet and fun-loving, Mateo has certainly had a rough start that he's not let get him down. He's yet to meet a stranger, loves toys (balls are his favorite), and walks by our side on a leash. Because of his questionable start, we have yet to see him successfully interact with other dogs; he lacks social cues and would likely do best as an only dog. Cats are sadly a firm no, as he shows a strong prey drive. He's started to work on basic obedience, knowing sit and being the King of the pouty lip when he begs. Mateo would thrive in a home where he could play a game of fetch before settling in for a movie night on the couch. Now healed from her amputation and ready to find a family of her own, this loving ball of energy would be the perfect companion! Life with 3 legs hasn't slowed Skipper down one bit, and shes now one of the fastest dogs on our property! Not a huge fan of other dogs but nonplussed about cats, Skipper could very likely cohabitate with multiple species with proper introductions. Perhaps she's the girl for you? Skipper is a rambunctious player, and the current queen of fetch! She does get super excited while playing, so she is also working on the 'wait' command along with basics such as 'sit' and 'down'.
