Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Hondo! 🐾 Barreling through is the charming Hondo! This big boy was found at a park by one of our street team members and happily walked right into our facility. Hondo's most distinctive feature is definitely his ears. They are pointy and turn inward, flopping here and there as he runs. Hondo puts his ears to good use, as he listens well to commands. He knows sit, down, and shake, and it’s certain this smarty can learn a few more tricks along the way! Hondo appreciates a good head scratch while he sits beside your feet; however, he often seems more interested in seeing what's going on around him. Hondo has shown to pair with other dogs with a slow introduction and controlled environment. He does have energy though, so he would do best with another dog that can match his play style. Hondo has already proven he knows quite a few good tricks and has the manners of a perfect dog, but he’s ready to learn even more with his perfect person. Is that you? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Selma!🐾 Need a bit of ruckus in your life, but also someone eager to snuggle and relax? You simply MUST meet Selma! Selma originally arrived with her sister, Patty, over a year ago. Patty was fortunate enough to leave not too long after, but Selma is still waiting for her forever home. Selma is a beautiful blue-and white gal with a nice, athletic build. She is very loving and adores giving kisses. Her favorite afternoon activity is cuddling beside you outside and sunbathing. Selma is extremely fun and loves to run and tumble around the yard. Selma has been improving her dog social skills, but she is very energetic and needs a playmate who can match her energy. She has been around both bigger dogs and smaller puppies. She is not a fan of cats. Selma is happy to see her sister thriving in a loving home, and now she’s ready for a place to call her own. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Skipper! If you are looking for a sporty and energetic dog to match your aesthetic, then look no further than our girl Skipper! Skipper originally came to the rescue a little over two years ago, making her one of our longer-term residents. She came in with trauma to her front leg, which has since been amputated. Over the past two years, Skipper has fully healed and is now showing us her little quirks and the best of her personality has fully developed her quirky personality is fully developed! Skipper is another one of our cute black and white pups, and as stated before, she is a tripod. Skipper’s favorite game is fetch, and when anyone is bored and needs a dog to entertain them, Skipper is their first choice. Skipper can play fetch for a long time and is definitely perfect for a baseball or softball fan. Once she’s tired, though, Skipper reveals her secret cuddly side and loves to relax close to her people. Skipper is learning basic commands such as sit, down, and leave it. She needs more training on the leash(but is outstanding with a head halter in use!), but responds well to commands and treats to help redirect her pulling. Skipper is not good with other dogs or cats and would do best as the only pet in the home. Skipper may need some extra time to get to know you as well, but some treats and a ball should do the trick. Given the depth of betrayal she's endured by humans, it does take a bit for her to warm up to strangers, but once she does it's officially 'game on' and you'll be helpless to not throw the ball again and again for this stunner! Skipper has done her part healing her leg and entertaining us with her sporty personality, but now she is looking for someone to relax at home with. Are you that someone? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Mateo! 🐾 If silly and athletic are two of your favorite qualities in a companion, look no further because Mateo is your guy! Mateo was rescued from the streets after an attack a few years ago. Sadly, the word "years" means that he has become the shelter’s second-longest resident. The good news? Mateo is more than ready to leave the past behind and find his loving forever home. Mateo is full of energy and loves to play! His absolute favorite activity is fetch, especially with his beloved rubber ball, and he can run impressive distances. He would be a perfect match for someone who enjoys hiking, staying active, or playing sports like football or baseball. Mateo’s playful personality shines through in his silly antics, whether he’s rolling around on his back, wiggling with excitement, or greeting you with enthusiastic face and ear kisses. When the weather turns cold, Mateo also shows his cuddly side and loves to snuggle up close. Mateo is not fond of cats or other dogs, likely due to his experiences surviving on the streets. He would do best as the only pet in the home. Our rescue team is happy to answer any questions and help ensure a successful transition for Mateo and his future family. Mateo has been waiting patiently and is truly ready for his forever home. Are you ready to throw a ball, share a laugh, and welcome this little sports star into your life? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Valentines! Sweet and loving, just like the holiday, this adorable girl is Valentines! Her litter of six puppies was rescued, and soon after, she was rescued as well and joyfully reunited with them. She has been the most dedicated mother, but now she’s ready to find her own forever home. Valentines may be reserved at first, but she warms up quickly with love and patience. She loves to walk up to you with a wagging tail, asking for pets. Knowing she is safe and sound she becomes more and more of the confidently beautiful soul we know her to be. It's hilarious to enjoy watching her chatter to herself while rolling in the sunlight! With other dogs, little dogs are this lady's speed, but gentle pups similar in size may work as well. Full of love and learning how to share it day-by-day, Valentines hopes to find the perfect family to enjoy the sweeter things in life with. Are you ready to welcome her into your heart and home? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
