Story
Stella was abandoned in my neighborhood. She is a very sweet girl, but takes a while to warm up. She’s shy, but the more time you spend with her the more loving she becomes. She needs to be the only pet so she can flourish. I have two other cats and she does not like them, so she is confined to a room. She’s needs a loving home and a loving caregiver.

Story
I Found teaser face as a kitten when she was a month old, she used to get along with cats and dogs when she was little, but as was more cats came into her life. She stopped getting along with them. And it has been a very long time since she has ever been around dogs. I don’t know if she still gets along with them. I want my cat to go to a loving home that will keep her for the rest of her life, she would be good in a one cat family home Maybe older children somewhere around 10. I’m honestly not sure Tate has never been around kids. Please love her and take care of her. Please do what I can’t. I love her, but I can’t take care of her. She’s not happy with me.

Story
Chippu showed up in the middle of the night at our apartment door. He was meant to find us as we already had a cat and we could tell another tenant abandoned him. We took him in and it’s been 2 - 3 years since. Chippu is a smart and playful cat. He is athletic and loves to play any chance. He is affectionate when he wants to be and can be a little naughty. Chippu loves kneading and greeting us home. We did our best to make it work but we realize Chippu needs to be in a home as an only cat. Our home is not large enough for two and we tried very hard but realized it is better to give Chippu a home where he is the center of attention. We want Chippu to go to a home where he will be loved and can play to his heart’s content. He needs a family that will appreciate his independence and sudden needs to be petted. Chippu is loving and silly at the same time. Chippu is entertaining, athletic, playful, observant and smarter than most cats. He will warm up your home and it will feel full.

Story
See Peanut`s Transformation! From the Streets of Detroit to Lap Cat Just one day before February’s 2025 bitter cold set in, Peanut’s life changed forever. Peanut was rescued when a caretaker contacted a PAAW volunteer about a cat that started coming around that had a wound on the neck and was gurgling when breathing. The plan was to trap him and get him to a vet but Peanut didn`t show up the next morning, so a PAAW volunteer searched the neighborhood and managed to trap him just in time.We had to hold Peanut until we could get a vet appointment, but in just weeks of him being trapped, treated and neutered at the vet, Peanut who was dirty and a beat up tom cat who came in down and out, with an old abscess wound on his neck has had an INCREDIBLE transformation with his foster! Turns out with just a little bit of time, Peanut is a sweet and affectionate guy! Peanut likes being brushed and petted, soaking up every bit of love he missed for so long. He is already using a scratching post. Peanut`s foster and the volunteer that trapped him have given him a second chance at life, and now he’s ready for a forever home where he’ll never have to fight for survival again! The vet said Peanut tested FIV+, probably from all his year of being on the streets. We don’t know what Peanut has been through living outside, but we do know he deserves a great home with all the food he can eat! We are hoping he may be just the guy to add to your family! ***********FIV+ cats need love too! FIV is species specific, meaning only cats can be infected. FIV+ cats can live just as long as non-FIV cats. If introduced properly, FIV and Non-FIV cats can live happy and healthy lives together. The virus is very frail and can only live outside the body for a few seconds, and requires serious physical interaction, like deep bite wounds. Normal social interactions, such as grooming, sharing food and water bowls and litter boxes have no known risk of transmission. Story
Hi, my name is Helios! I’m a bright and handsome orange tabby named after the Greek god of the sun, and I’m ready to bring some warmth and light into your life! I may have once roamed the streets of Detroit, but thanks to a PAAW volunteer, I was trapped for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). Turns out, I had a little surprise for everyone—I’m actually a super friendly guy who loves people and pets! So instead of going back to the streets, I got a second chance at finding a loving forever home.Living on the streets meant food was hard to come by, so I’m still a bit of a hungry boy. I get really excited for mealtime and may give you my best “feed me” eyes—it’s a look that’s pretty hard to resist! But now that I know food will always be there, I’m learning to slow down and savor my meals. While I was out there fending for myself, I also picked up FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). It might sound scary, but don’t worry—it’s not! FIV simply affects my immune system a little, but with regular vet care and a healthy lifestyle, I can live a long, happy life just like any other cat. And guess what? FIV+ and FIV- cats can safely live together! FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, which is rare in a calm, friendly household like the one I dream of finding!I’m a laid-back, affectionate boy who loves scratches and snuggles. Whether I’m soaking up the sun in a cozy window spot or curling up next to you for some purr-filled pets, I’ll be your loyal companion! Thanks for reading about me! I hope to meet my forever family soon! FIV+ cats need love too! FIV is species specific, meaning only cats can be infected. FIV+ cats can live just as long as non-FIV cats.
