Story
Sassy is front paw declawed. We got her 3 months ago, but she is not the right fit for our family with many loud children running around all day long. Sassy would thrive in a calmer environment. She is 8 years old and enjoys playing with you with toys. She loves head scratches and rubbing up against your leg. She likes to sleep on your bed with you. She is also good at obeying commands and comes running when you get out the treats.

Story
See Peanut`s Transformation! From the Streets of Detroit to Lap Cat Just one day before February’s 2025 bitter cold set in, Peanut’s life changed forever. Peanut was rescued when a caretaker contacted a PAAW volunteer about a cat that started coming around that had a wound on the neck and was gurgling when breathing. The plan was to trap him and get him to a vet but Peanut didn`t show up the next morning, so a PAAW volunteer searched the neighborhood and managed to trap him just in time.We had to hold Peanut until we could get a vet appointment, but in just weeks of him being trapped, treated and neutered at the vet, Peanut who was dirty and a beat up tom cat who came in down and out, with an old abscess wound on his neck has had an INCREDIBLE transformation with his foster! Turns out with just a little bit of time, Peanut is a sweet and affectionate guy! Peanut likes being brushed and petted, soaking up every bit of love he missed for so long. He is already using a scratching post. Peanut`s foster and the volunteer that trapped him have given him a second chance at life, and now he’s ready for a forever home where he’ll never have to fight for survival again! The vet said Peanut tested FIV+, probably from all his year of being on the streets. We don’t know what Peanut has been through living outside, but we do know he deserves a great home with all the food he can eat! We are hoping he may be just the guy to add to your family! ***********FIV+ cats need love too! FIV is species specific, meaning only cats can be infected. FIV+ cats can live just as long as non-FIV cats. If introduced properly, FIV and Non-FIV cats can live happy and healthy lives together. The virus is very frail and can only live outside the body for a few seconds, and requires serious physical interaction, like deep bite wounds. Normal social interactions, such as grooming, sharing food and water bowls and litter boxes have no known risk of transmission. Story
Meet Nora Bean! Nora Bean is a shy but sweet gray kitty with a soft Russian Blue-style coat. She was rescued from life outside and is still getting used to being around people, but she’s making steady progress in foster care. She is shy but with lots of love and patience she will continue to blossomShe enjoys pets and flops on her side wiggling around. She is starting to learn how to play with toys. She’s not the kind of cat who will run up to you right away, but with patience and lots of attention, she begins to show her affectionate side. Nora Bean does great with other cats and would likely benefit from having a calm, friendly feline companion! In a new home, she’ll need time to adjust and should start out in her own room where someone can spend time with her and shower her with love and help her feel safe. She’s not a lap cat (yet), but she’s a good and quiet little girl that deserves her loving home! If you’re patient and looking for a low-key cat to nurture and grow with, Nora Bean might be a great fit! Story
Hi, I’m Scout! What’s tabby with a white-tipped tail and cute all over? That’s right—it’s me! Everyone is saying I am super adorable! I have been cruising the streets of Warren for a bit. I had plenty of fans trying to help rescue me! When I started coming to a PAAW volunteers home nightly they went and borrowed a trap from All About Animals Rescue and after weeks of me not going in the trap it was returned and that very night I showed up again and they scooped me up! The rest is history! Honestly, I couldn’t be happier—they had warm laps and plenty of food and love waiting for me!Now, I’m neutered, vaccinated, combo test neg/neg, and microchipped—all ready for my forever home! My foster says I am a big boy! At 13 pounds of pure handsomeness, I’m a big, smiley guy with an even bigger heart. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, handsome kitty, I can be your forever guy! If you have any questions or want to meet me please reach out to PAAW and they can help you! Story
Hi, my name is Helios! I’m a bright and handsome orange tabby named after the Greek god of the sun, and I’m ready to bring some warmth and light into your life! I may have once roamed the streets of Detroit, but thanks to a PAAW volunteer, I was trapped for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). Turns out, I had a little surprise for everyone—I’m actually a super friendly guy who loves people and pets! So instead of going back to the streets, I got a second chance at finding a loving forever home.Living on the streets meant food was hard to come by, so I’m still a bit of a hungry boy. I get really excited for mealtime and may give you my best “feed me” eyes—it’s a look that’s pretty hard to resist! But now that I know food will always be there, I’m learning to slow down and savor my meals. While I was out there fending for myself, I also picked up FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). It might sound scary, but don’t worry—it’s not! FIV simply affects my immune system a little, but with regular vet care and a healthy lifestyle, I can live a long, happy life just like any other cat. And guess what? FIV+ and FIV- cats can safely live together! FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, which is rare in a calm, friendly household like the one I dream of finding!I’m a laid-back, affectionate boy who loves scratches and snuggles. Whether I’m soaking up the sun in a cozy window spot or curling up next to you for some purr-filled pets, I’ll be your loyal companion! Thanks for reading about me! I hope to meet my forever family soon! FIV+ cats need love too! FIV is species specific, meaning only cats can be infected. FIV+ cats can live just as long as non-FIV cats. Story
Hi, I`m Rosso! My foster mom says I am a beautiful fine-ticked tabby boy with the softest coat and the sweetest soul! I was found wandering the streets, just trying to survive on my own. Life outside was scary and uncertain, but now that I’m safe, I’m learning what it means to feel secure and loved.I’m a quiet, gentle guy who takes a little time to trust—but once I do, you`ll see my signature butt raises when you pet me. It’s my special way of saying, “Hey, I like you.” I’ve come a long way thanks to the love and patience of my rescuers, and I’m ready to find a forever home where I can keep blossoming.I get along well with other cats and I think I’d do best in a calm home, especially one with another friendly feline to help me feel at ease. I may not be a lap cat right away, but if you’re patient and kind, I’ll reward you with quiet companionship and those heart-melting moments that only shy-but-sweet cats like me can give.If you have room in your heart for a soft-spoken soul who just needs a little time to shine, I’d love to meet you. Let’s write our next chapter together. ?Thanks for reading about me!
