Story
The cat is roughly three years of age, I took them in as a favor to my now ex finance and unfortunately, I just cannot keep the cat as I move for work.He is very slow to warm up, has always been this way since they got him as a kitten. Once warmed up they enjoy kneading and lap sitting, window watching, and has a general loving attitude. They have never been an outside cat, have always been kept inside and have been well kept and fed. They were in a house with 3 other cats and a dog before they came with me, they are very sweet but unfortunately, I cannot keep them and need to find a loving home for them ASAP.

Percy is the best cat and I’m heartbroken over this decision. After 2 years the dog and him do not get along. He will do best in a home by himself or maybe a small dog that will not run after him all day!

Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted cats have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2453-michigan-cat-adoption-app Adoption fees for a fully vetted kitten or cat: Kittens to 7 months = $125 for one, $200 for a pair Cats 7months to 7 years = $90 for one, $150 for a pair Seniors 7 years and older = $45 for one Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas kitty a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Age: 4 Years Good with dogs? No Good with cats? No Good with kids? Yes Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $75 Any other info: Meet The Fiend. She may have a name that sounds fierce, and don't get us wrong, she certainly lives up to her name, but she hides a heart that just wants to feel safe and adored. This absolutely stunning black beauty was rescued from the streets after trying to survive on her own but unfortunately didn't get along with the other house cats and has found herself in the shelter. We may never know what she experienced out there, but it’s clear she learned she had to look out for herself which may be why she prefers not to share her space with other animals. Shelter life has been a big adjustment, and she’s still understandably a bit on guard while she figures things out. But here’s what we do know: in a home where she feels secure, The Fiend shows her true colors, affectionate, friendly, and deeply people oriented. Her previous family shared that she did well with kids and loved attention once she trusted her humans. She wants connection just on her own terms and without competing paws nearby. She is around 4 years old, spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and triple tested negative for FIV, FelV, and Heartworm disease. The Fiend is searching for a calm, loving home where she can be the one and only pet,.the queen of the castle, the center of your world, and the receiver of all the chin scratches, cozy spots, and tasty treats. Give her a little patience and reassurance, and you’ll gain a loyal, loving companion with movie star looks and a soft, grateful heart. Can you be the safe place she’s been waiting for? Don't make her wait any longer than she already has, apply today through the link below. https://serenityanimalhospital.net/cat-adoption-application/ Once your application has been processed, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our adoption fee includes the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, FelV/FIV/Heartworm test and fecal check. All adoption fees can be found on our website serenityanimalhospital.net The first step to our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website, www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. Once you hit submit, it will come straight to our adoptions email. Once your application has been processed, our adoptions team will reach out with you to schedule a meet and greet. ** Please note: any cats/kittens adopted from us must be kept as INDOOR ONLY cats and cannot be declawed per our adoption contract. ** Any questions regarding our adoptable dogs can be emailed to adoptions@serenityanimalhospital.net Please do not call the front desk with questions about our adoption program as our receptionists are not involved with the adoption program. Please allow us a few days to contact you about your application as we do get many in on a daily basis. We will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for adopting!
