Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! I am the sweetest little girl EVER!  I didn't have anyone love me and I found myself pregnant and alone. I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. I can tolerate cats but would prefer to be an only pet. I am ready for someone to love me FUREVERVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Ozzy is 10 years old, born on May 1, 2015. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He’s a character, a sweet boy, on his own terms. He’s also chatty and prone to the zoomies. We feed him Hills Science Diet urinary hairball control wet and dry food as recommend by the vet due to urinary issues when he was young. We bought a new house 6 months ago and he has not adjusted to the change. He’s become aggressive with our other 4 cats with whom he used to get along. We have tried Feliway, Comfort Zone, and TopSum pheromone diffusers from the time we moved to our new home, and they have not been effective. Our hearts are broken that this is our final resort. We love Ozzy but we think he would be happier in a home on his own, without other pets.

Story
Would like for her and her sister Mia to go together. And maybe her mom willow too. Good friendly cats just don't have the means anymore. Needs a clean home. Other animals are fine as long as they are not full of energy and Will chase them. All are fixed and healthy. Her and mom are fat rolly polly cats. Name noodles cause when you pick her up she is like a limp noodle. Love getting bellies rubbed. Sister Mia is little squirrely but friendly little cuddles too. Noodles loves to lay on your leg when sitting.

Story
This handsome man was at my apartment complex when I moved in back in July. He has been roaming the streets ever since I moved here. We developed a relationship & I took him to the vet to be looked at. Since then, he has been staying with me in my bathroom (I know it’s not ideal & don’t want him to stay in the bathroom long term, he deserves better) He got his rabies vaccination, neutered, proper shots & all. He is in perfect health & estimated to be 2-3 years old. He is a sweet boy who is super friendly. I get the vibe he once lived in a home based on how nice he is, but him being outside for 5+ months leaves me to believe someone abandoned him. I can provide record of his medical visits as well. I am giving him away for free, I really want him to find his forever home.
