Story
Sari was adopted from an amish lady who would breed cats when he was only 4 weeks old. Once my cousin was gifted him, she quickly realized she couldn't take care of him, as her mom was sick and she needed to take care of her. I took him in and housed him for 3 years, but because my parents were raised in a home where their cats were indoor/outdoor, we had to do the same. Sari would get into fights with neighborhood cats and it all became too costly for me to pay on my own, without the support of my family, while being a full time student and only working part time. He is 3 years old as of today, and very well behaved. He does not eat dry cat food, as I have kept him on a wet food diet for a few years now, but he used to in the past and I am sure he would again if need be. He is extremely playful and loves to sleep together. He enjoys watching Cat TV and he loves being picked up and carried around. I use bravecto on him every 3 months in order to ensure he does not get fleas.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!We are constantly being asked to help find a home for a helpless cat.  Typically it is someone is moving or the owner has died and there are only days to keep it from being tossed on the street or ending up in a kill shelter.PLEASE tell us what you are looking for in your next cat and we will process you application and call you when we have 'a fit'Thank you for caring enough to adopt instead of shop!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!April 15, 2024, 12:36 pm

I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. I can tolerate cats but would prefer to be an only pet. I am ready for someone to love me FUREVERVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Story
While Walter isn’t a lap cat he loves to be close to his human friends and prefers not to be alone. He is fascinated by other animals and enjoys when cats and dogs come to visit. He is also declawed in the front. Walter is gentle and affectionate and likes to lay on his back with his arms outstretched when he wants to have his belly rubbed. I have been traveling more and Walter would do better in a home where he has the regular company of people and or animals.

Story
Penny is a loving cat. She enjoys birdwatching, cuddling, and playing with shadows or cat lasers. She is very intelligent and effective at communicating her needs. She has trouble getting along with our other female cat, and would thrive in a pet free home, where someone is capable to give her the attention she deserves. Free to a loving home ❤️
