Meet my sweet girl — a Christmas miracle born on December 25, 2016! My family and I brought her home as an adorable 2-month-old puppy, and she’s been the light of our lives ever since. Now 9 years young, she’s still full of puppy energy: super playful, hyper, and incredibly active — she loves zoomies, chasing toys, and turning every walk into an adventure! 🐶✨ She’s the most affectionate, loyal companion you could ask for, always ready for cuddles after playtime and quick to make you smile with her goofy antics. And yes, she’s fully kennel/crate trained — she sees her crate as her cozy safe space for relaxing or when her humans are away, which makes life easier for everyone. Her one little quirk? She’s scared of just about everything 😂— new people, loud noises, even the occasional plastic bag — but with patience and a calm, loving approach, she warms up and shows her true sweet, trusting side. She just needs someone who understands that and gives her time to feel safe.

He completed a 2-week training to help with some behaviors from being in a shelter most of his life- difficulty meeting new people, etc. He will need a patient owner to continue his training & Charlie's Place will pay for training as part of his adoption. He knows his basic commands, loves going on hikes & exploring & playing fetch! He is loveable & affectionate and has been getting along well with other dogs with proper introductions. 0321093 - Hi! This sweet girl is Zoey (or "Zo Zo" as we call her in her foster home). Zoey came to Colorado from New Mexico and is ready to find her forever home. Zoey is a 4-5 year old boxer mix and weighs roughly 50lbs. She is a very precious and sweet girl who loves affection, loves to give kisses and loves to get belly rubs. She will follow you around the house to see what you are up to (and to be by your side). She will also cuddle up next to you and let you love on her all day long! Zoey is crate trained, potty trained, sleeps all night and likes to go on short leashed walks to take in the new sights and scents of Colorado. She is also spayed and UTD on her vaccines. Zoey has two foster doggy siblings. Although they are all working on getting along, she is still a bit testy with them. She may be happiest as an only dog, but if you have a mellow dog she may also do fine with a proper introduction to make sure that everyone gets along. She has been introduced to her two kitty foster siblings, and doesn't show much interest so a home with cats would be fine. Zoey would do best in calm environment where someone is home most of the day. Zoey needs to be given the love and affection that she deserves and she promises to love and be grateful to you in return. What we know: 3 puppies came to us from South Plains SPCA in Texas. They were pulled off the Euthenasia list with mom who is being rehomed in Texas. From the foster: Aly is a gentle, affectionate girl who thrives on closeness and reassurance. She loves knowing where her people are at all times and is happiest when she’s near you, especially if snuggles are involved. Rope toys are a favorite, but cuddles definitely top the list. Aly is still building confidence with the outdoors. She prefers to be carried outside, and while she will pee in the grass, going number two is a bit harder for her right now especially when it’s cold. When she gets chilly, she just wants to run back inside. She is extremely food-motivated and eats quickly, so we’ve introduced a slow feeder to help her slow down and feel more relaxed during meals. Aly has been an excellent sleeper and currently sleeps through the night in a large kennel with her sister, using a cozy bed on one side and puppy pads on the other. Since she will be sleeping solo for the first time in her new home, the first few nights may come with a short adjustment period, which is very normal for puppies. With consistency and reassurance, she should continue to do great. She has also been wonderful with our 5- and 6-year-old boys, showing a sweet, gentle nature around kids.
