Annie Grace is a high energy 6 year old girl and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations. Annie Grace does take a little bit to warm up to new situations, but once she understands she is safe, you will see an amazing transformation. Chewing an antler and chasing birds and squirrels are some of her favorite things. She also enjoys the attention of her human and will do anything for a belly rub. Annie Grace needs a home where she can be an only pet. Annie Grace has recently graduated from basic training and knows sit, down and all the other commands that will make her the perfect companion. She comes with follow-up sessions with her trainer at their facility in Cumming/Gainesville. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption. Hello, meet Hemi! Hi everyone, my name is Hemi! I am a Lab/Staffordshire mix. I have a beautiful short-haired brown coat and I am roughly 4 years and 8 months old. I currently weigh in at a healthy 46 pounds and I am fully grown. I am a lovebug, comedian, and best friend all wrapped into one big bundle of love. Since I am past the puppy stage, I am very well behaved and a joy to have around. I keep my kennel clean and have great manners. I love being with people and they love being with me too! I do still love to play, and my favorite thing to play with is a laser pointer! I will chase after the laser until it is gone! Once I am done playing, my favorite place is to be right by your side. I am a cuddle enthusiast and will even let you pick me up so I can squeeze into your lap. I would be perfect for your low-key movie nights. I like playing with other dogs similar to my size, so if you have another dog, I would love to meet them! My ideal home would be with an active and loving family, and preferably with someone who works from home as I have separation anxiety and I like lots of attention. I would not mind a fur sibling or two! I would need a backyard that is very securely fenced (I have found my way out before - I can chew chain link and so I had a run in with a vehicle). Sherlock is an affectionate, cuddly lovebug when you finally get to know her. She is turning 8 as of 2024. She is an extremely active dog who loves to run, so she would greatly benefit from a home with a backyard or someone who takes frequent walks/hikes. She does well on a leash and enjoys long walks, but does get a bit carsick. She has lived in a home with 6 other dogs and did fine but is food-aggressive. If around other dogs, food would have to be safely secured and hidden away. She would need to be fed in a crate. Otherwise, she does very well and has a long history of using other dogs as pillows. She always has a smile on her face and insists that she is a lap dog so she can cuddle with you on the couch or in the bed. She responds well to training and would be very easy to teach new tricks. For an older dog, she does not act her age, and instead acts like a puppy.
