Story
**Meet Dana** 🐾
- **5-star houseguest**: Crate trained? Check. House trained? Double check. She believes in keeping all business *outside* and all naps *inside*.
- **Road trip royalty**: Dana treats every car ride like a first-class spa day. She’ll snuggle into her bed, snooze like a champion, or quietly people-watch out the window. No backseat driving, no dramatic gasps at squirrels. Just vibes.
- **Goofy with a side of Boxer**: When Dana gets excited, the Boxer paws fly. It’s jazz hands meet “OMG BEST DAY EVER” and it’s impossible not to laugh.
- **Honor roll student**: Basic commands? Please. Dana’s acing *sit, down, leave it, drop it, shake, high five,* AND *settle*. She’s basically working on her PhD in Good Girl.
**Dating Profile **: I’m on the hunt for my perfect co-pilot. Another doggy sidekick to ride shotgun on adventures, hype me up when I get the zoomies, and remind me that mailmen probably aren’t villains. Think Thelma & Louise, but with more tail wags and stolen socks.
** Ideal home vibes:
• Weekends: Exploring the world one sniff at a time, hiking trails, beach days, and “accidentally” ending up in the drive-thru line.
• Weeknights: Olympic-level snuggling on the couch with my human + furr sibling. Blanket fort required.
If you’ve got a spare spot on the couch, a sense of adventure, and love to snuggle,
apply to adopt this 8 month old love bug at www.herorescue.org and let the adventures — and naps — begin 💛
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
