Story
Meet Joker! Just as his name suggests, this sweet boy is full of energy and always in a playful mood! His heart is somehow bigger than his head, and he loves to be cuddling with his people. He is completely house broken and will do his business as soon as you take him out (which is great in the colder months!). Joker would do best in a quiet home with no young children and where guests aren’t frequent. He knows sit, takes treats gently, and walks okay on a leash. He is very food motivated which makes him easy to train! Joker really is the best of both worlds in terms of his energy. He loves to play but also loves to nap, and really just wants to be doing whatever you’re doing with you.

Story
Meet Kusama! We rescued her from a shelter who was out of space. She is about 3 years old, 86 pounds and very sweet. Kusama is a total love bug, but has lots of energy! She loves to play with her doggie foster siblings, do enrichment, and do zoomies for days! She is housebroken and is hard at work at learning basic cues with her foster family. She has grown so much and we are so proud of her! She really is a wonderful, sweet girl with so much to offer! Kusama will need to be homed with someone who will keep her leashed and take her for long walks or jogs or with a family who has at least a 5 foot fence- she has got impressive hops!! She loves being with her people and wants to please. She also loves to be active. Due to her high energy and bouncy personality, Kusama would probably do best in a home without young children. She is dog and cat friendly and loves a good cuddle session with her fursiblings. Ready to help her continue to learn and grow? Got an active pup or two who want to have a playmate and buddy?! Like going on adventures?! Then Kusama is the dog for you!

Story
Meet Malachi! He is approximately 3 years old, 60 pounds and came to us from a local shelter. He is the bestest boy! He loves walks and is very good on the leash. He enjoys treats and takes them very gently. Malachi is crate trained and house broken. Malachi's favorite thing is to cuddle on the couch and be loved. He absolutely loves to be the center of attention. He also loves to play fetch, will gently take toys from your hand, loves snacks of all kinds and is a great Work from Home buddy. He has the cutest bunny hop when he gets excited...he just can't contain himself!! He gives the best kisses and snuggles, too!! He is such a happy boy and super easy. He does have a high prey drive and is not a fan of cats. He is a bit unsure of other dogs but shows signs of wanting to play with his foster siblings. He has a rough play style so he would do best with a dog that has the same style but won't get mad if he doesn't stop right away. Malachi is just about the softest dog we have. He is such a good boy who is very deserving of his home! He does not do well with the energy of children so will need teenagers or no kids at all. Here's some fun facts from his foster mom: His favorite things are: *His pink Ruff Dawg ball *Going on walk-abouts *Snuggling on the couch *Rolling around in the grass and being silly *Naps *Snacks *Learning new things *Sitting outside and enjoying the sun *Chasing birds and flying raisins (flies and bees) *Being one of my WFH buddies *Tearing up cardboard boxes (helps to release his natural need to end the prey drive) His least favorite things: *Strangers in his home (lots of slow intros needed and intros outside are best) *Kids under 12...their energy is too much for him *Not being where you are (but doesn't have separation anxiety) *Small animals that like to run from him...he thinks it's time to chase (no cats or little dogs for this guy... He does best with female dogs his size). If you're interested in meeting this good boy, inquire today!

Story
Greetings everyone! My name is Leanna and I found myself as a stray after a short wanderlust phase. Life on the road was harsh, as I became quite skinny and badly sunburned on my nose. I found myself in a noisy shelter for 4 months--living in a crate in a hallway and eventually on the euthanasia list. Yikes! But, my story of neglect and trauma did not break my spirit! My foster mom tells me I have a heart of gold and will be a loyal partner for a lifetime! I am around 5 years old and 50 pounds. I like to play with non-pushy dogs, but I need a little warm-up to pups without boundaries. I am a shy girl who needs someone to understand that not everyone wants a stranger in their face because, quite frankly, it can be scary. I need time to make choices about how I want to introduce myself. Don’t most humans do this already?! I’d prefer no kids because they usually don’t have the attention span I need for them to read my energy. I’m a girl with big boundaries and I cannot be rushed to accept you. But, once I do I’ll gladly show you my belly or lay at the foot of your bed if you find this agreeable! Did you say sit or shake? Gladly!! Just give me a tasty treat as a reward-I even love dog-friendly fruits and veggies!! My foster mom says that spinach helps me zoom around the backyard and right over the 4 ft fence if she’s not watching…Is that bad?! I consider myself quite the athlete and love routine exercise because it makes me a happier pet baby! I’d love a patient and understanding dog parent to bring out the best version of myself. Don’t we all want this in life?!

Story
Hi! My name is Ellie. As you can see, I’m a bit of a low-rider…a house hippo, if you will. I’m a spayed female, about 5 years old and weigh about 75 lbs. I LOVE my ball, it’s my favorite toy! I also get REALLY excited when my foster Mom brings me my food…I have to maintain this hippo physique, you know! When I’m done with my ball, I’m perfectly happy to cuddle with you on the couch. I get along with some dogs, others not so much, so I’d definitely have to meet any dogs you already have. I don’t think I’ve met any cats, but I don’t think I’d be a fan. I also do well with older kids as commotion just isn’t my thing. I’m pretty set in my ways and really just like my people. I enjoy cuddling and lounging around the house. I'm great in my crate but could also be left out as I would probably just sleep while you’re away. I do also enjoy going for walks! I love being outside as long as you’re out there with me. If you enjoy binge watching Netflix and going for an evening walk, apply to meet me today!

Sheba will continue to shine with a calm, mindful owner. Taking things at a slower pace is sure to win this petite little lady over! Once you have established your bond, Sheba loves fully with all her heart. Daily walks keep her smiling that big pitty smile and chew toys help her enjoy the day. She is amazing at puzzles, enrichment brightens her world! She will never turn down a good ol’ game of fetch, she’ll even drop the ball at your feet if treats are involved! The best thing about Sheba is her ability to thrive in a positive, loving environment. She is looking to spend her golden years with those who are willing to give daily massages and endless snuggles. Let’s help make Sheba’s dream of finding her furever home come true!
