Story
Meet Irwin ??A 58lb, 1-year-old, American Staffordshire Terrier who was found wandering alone in a park. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was terrified and nervous, taking everything in. The kennel environment felt overwhelming for him at first, and he needed a little time to feel safe. But once Irwin got out for some fresh air and one-on-one attention, his true personality began to shine. With patience and kindness, he blossomed into the sweetest boy. Away from the noise, Irwin shows just how lovely he really is — affectionate, eager for reassurance, and happy to be by your side.Irwin is a high-energy pup who loves to play and would thrive with an active family ready for adventures, games, and plenty of exercise. He seems to do well around the other dogs at the shelter, making him a great candidate for a home with a playful canine companion. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Meet Terra! This 46lb, 5-year-old, Staffordshire Bull Terrier came to the shelter as a stray and seems to have an independent spirit. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and is perfectly content doing her own thing—but she’ll always circle back to check in with her people.Terra isn’t particularly interested in toys. She’d much rather spend her time sniffing around the yard, going for a nice walk, or simply relaxing nearby. On leash, she can be a bit of a puller—she’s curious about the world and excited to see what’s ahead! With a little consistency and guidance, she’ll likely continue improving her leash manners.Terra doesn’t appear to mind other dogs and has a relaxed, easygoing presence around them. She may do well with a canine companion who respects her independent nature, or she could happily soak up all the love as your one-and-only.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Meet Vincent, or as his friends call him… Vinny! This 4-year-old, 60-lb sweetheart just finished his board & train with Positive Only Pups and he’s SO ready to show off his skills in a forever home. His trainer is even sending him home with some amazing goodies: A custom muzzle Two FREE training sessions A complete training guide made just for Vinny A few of his favorite toys! Vinny is a gentle soul who absolutely loves love. His foster mom says he’s “100% a good boy” and can do no wrong. He’ll happily follow you around the house and lay nearby while you cook or clean. Potty trained Knows sit, down, & shake (his favorite trick!) Dog-friendly & loves to play Can be left out when you’re gone (not a fan of the crate after spending too much of his life in one) We’re not sure yet about cats or kids, but Vinny is super laid-back and eager to please. Vinny’s story hasn’t always been easy—he entered the shelter at just 6 months old, was adopted, and then heartbreakingly returned in rough condition. But through it all, he has remained the sweetest boy with the biggest heart. Vinny is SO ready for the happy ending he deserves. Could that be with you? ##1615047##

Story
Chyna is one of those senior dogs who seems to understand the value of slowing down and simply enjoying life with her people. Multiple people over the years have described her as calm, gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to spend time with. She has enjoyed car rides, nature walks, relaxing outings, water play, cuddling, and quietly hanging out beside her humans. She has consistently been described as friendly with adults and very loving with children, allowing affection easily and settling into family life with a soft, easygoing presence. Even during intake, she remained calm and cooperative, laying comfortably beside the other dog she arrived with and greeting staff kindly. Chyna is currently looking for a quieter retirement-style home where she can be the only pet and soak up all the attention for herself. She is a senior girl with dental disease who is currently receiving pain medication, eating soft food, and appreciating comforts like thick blankets and leisurely leash walks. While she may not be interested in the chaos of an active multi-animal household anymore, she still has so much love and companionship to offer. Senior dogs like Chyna are truly special. They ask for so little, settle into routines quickly, and somehow make a house feel softer and calmer just by being there. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter`s care.
