My daughter recieved this dog from her ex boyfriend when she was 6 months pregnant. We have been desperate to find someone who loves animals and has time and patience to train. He needs to go to a home with no kids or small dogs. Not sure how he would do with bigger dogs. My daughter already had two chihuahuas. We tried a long time ago to reach out to bully rescues and had no luck. They only wanted to give training tips. She is a single mom with a 2 year old now.

I adopted Bubba five years ago while living with my parents, where he had a large yard and plenty of space. During that time, I was able to spend most of my days with him, and he became a very loving, people-friendly companion. He gets excited to meet new people but has never shown aggression toward humans. Since then, my life has changed significantly. I now have a young son, a demanding career, and live in an apartment, which is very different from the environment Bubba is used to. After a lot of consideration, I believe he would do best in a home that can offer more space and time. Bubba’s ideal home would be with someone who can spend a good amount of time with him, is physically able to handle a larger dog, and has a house with a yard. He has a calm demeanor, enjoys being close to his person, and is well-behaved indoors. He has never chewed furniture or shoes. He can be selective with other dogs. He has lived successfully with a French Bulldog, but careful introductions advised.

In 2021, me and my former girlfriend rescued Kayden from KC Paws in Overland Park. He was thrown out of a car during a winter storm, and abandoned by his owners. Me and my girlfriend were looking for a doggy that needed a home and that would be a good fit for us. This poor dog still recovering from frostbite was OVERJOYED when he first met us, and all the staff members told us that “Kayden” would be the best fit. Boy he was perfect ❤️. I have had him ever since, and he has been a cuddly energetic infusion into our family. Unfortunately, in 2024 me and his mother seperated, and I got to keep him. We also had a 2 year old baby girl at the time, so I was inbetween single father duties and work. It has become too much for me, working 50 hours a week and being a single dad, this handsome dog deserves more attention/play/love than what I have been able to give. I want so much to trust every human I meet right away. But I need a little time to get to know someone and really develop a sense of connection and love for that human. The shelter experience lends itself to a lot of unfamiliar people needing to interact with me often&#44 and I get nervous and scared around all that attention. I prefer slower introductions&#44 getting to know the person&#44 and finding that I can trust that no one wants to hurt me. Once there is patience and understanding between us&#44 Im a little doll. Ive got quite the personality&#44 and I want so much to be a part of a family and feel included in activities. I am also kennel trained&#44 and I like to sleep in my quiet little spot. Ive been soaking up the love in a foster home recently. When Im not snuggled up with Foster Dad&#44 I enjoy playing with my toys and snoozing the day way.
