Story
Meet Teddy! Teddy is a small young Lab mix (around 35-40lbs) with a heart as big as his smile! This sweet, energetic pup is ready to find his forever family, one that loves adventure as much as he does. Teddy is doing great with potty training (he’s almost got it down as long as he’s taken out consistently!) and is learning the ropes of kennel training. He’s super smart and eager to please, especially when there are treats or cuddles involved. This social guy absolutely adores his humans and is a total dog’s dog, playful, friendly, and always ready for a romp in the yard or a game of chase with a canine pal. He’s a bit unsure around cats at first, but with time, he warms up and might even try to get them to play! Teddy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where he can zoom around and burn off his puppy energy. He’d also make an awesome hiking buddy or running partner, he’s always up for an adventure! If you're looking for a fun, loyal, and loving companion to join your family, Teddy might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why everyone falls in love with this sweet boy! Teddy's adoption fee is $275 and covers all age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm prevention. Approx. DOB: 3/17/23                 Approx. Weight: 43 lBS Adoption Fee: $200 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Miss Darla is looking for a family as wonderful as herself. Her foster mom says she is house and crate trained.  She will whine to let you know she needs to go out. Darla has loved playing with the dogs in her foster home because they are all even tempered like her. The dogs that are bossy and dominant she does not like. Darla loves to play tag, tug and chase with her furry friends.  The yard she plays in has a 4'  chain link fence and she has never tried to get out or over it.  She will sometimes play fetch unless the ball or toy interest her more then returning it... LOL. Darla has been working on walking on leash wearing a harness,  which we include with her adoption, plus her collar and leash.    I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Roux is an 85-pound gentle soul with a heart as big as his smile. At around 8–9 years old, this handsome mixed-breed boy is firmly in his “retirement era” — and he wears it beautifully. Roux has shown nothing but quiet resilience and kindness. He’s currently thriving in a foster home of his own, where he enjoys peaceful days, leisurely walks with his foster dad, and long, well-earned naps afterward. Despite his size, Roux has a soft spot for the little ones — he absolutely loves small dogs and even tiny puppies. He also has “grandkids” who visit a couple times a week, and he does wonderfully with them. Roux is trusted to roam freely in his foster home and is never kenneled. Medically, Roux has a medium heart murmur that does not require medication at this time — just routine monitoring at his annual veterinary visits. Roux is searching for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy cozy days, gentle walks, and all the affection he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share quiet moments and unconditional love, Roux may be your perfect match. This pet is up for adoption through one of our trusted rescue partners, Rescue K-911. He or she is currently in one of their fabulous foster homes. If you would like more information on this pet please reach out to Rescue K-911 directly: (913) 543-1364 rescuek911ks@gmail.com http://k911foundation.com

Story
Khaos is a 7 year old big cuddle bug, he loves people, walks, running and playing. Hes a boxer so he is hyper and needs to be excersized. He has a great personality but does have mild behavioral issues. He will still get into the trash if its out. He will eat food on the counter if you leave it out and will tear up blinds if he sees something he wants outside. He doesn't do the best with other dogs specifically male dogs. When on walks we avoid other dogs because he will start barking at them and he doesnt always click with male dogs. We do still own his mother and they haven't had issues. We have had many laughs with Khaos. We have older kids who he does great with, we recently had a baby who has started to walk and this overstimulates Khaos. He is a great dog we just no longer have the time to provide what he deserves. I want to find someone who will understand, be patient, play and love him.
