Story
Calliope was rescued from the middle of nowhere in central Missouri off the streets. She was the sweetest and most loving dog as soon as we met her. She fell in love with our shepherd and we fell in love with her. Over the last 4 years Calliope has learned how to be loved and cuddle with everyone she meets. Calliope doesn't know a stranger. Every single person she meets needs to cuddle her and love her. Her people are her life and will forever be. Calliope loves to go on walks, but is even happier to lay on the couch all day every day. She thinks she's a puppy when in fact she's a large adult. 🥰 Unfortunately, Calliope has had a few incidents with our fosters and most recently with our bulldog. Due to this, Calliope needs to be the only dog in the home. She will be the best friend you will ever have if you just give her a chance.

Story
Roux is an 85-pound gentle soul with a heart as big as his smile. At around 8–9 years old, this handsome mixed-breed boy is firmly in his “retirement era” — and he wears it beautifully. Roux has shown nothing but quiet resilience and kindness. He’s currently thriving in a foster home of his own, where he enjoys peaceful days, leisurely walks with his foster dad, and long, well-earned naps afterward. Despite his size, Roux has a soft spot for the little ones — he absolutely loves small dogs and even tiny puppies. He also has “grandkids” who visit a couple times a week, and he does wonderfully with them. Roux is trusted to roam freely in his foster home and is never kenneled. Medically, Roux has a medium heart murmur that does not require medication at this time — just routine monitoring at his annual veterinary visits. Roux is searching for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy cozy days, gentle walks, and all the affection he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share quiet moments and unconditional love, Roux may be your perfect match. This pet is up for adoption through one of our trusted rescue partners, Rescue K-911. He or she is currently in one of their fabulous foster homes. If you would like more information on this pet please reach out to Rescue K-911 directly: (913) 543-1364 rescuek911ks@gmail.com http://k911foundation.com

Story
Meet Teddy! Teddy is a small young Lab mix (around 35-40lbs) with a heart as big as his smile! This sweet, energetic pup is ready to find his forever family, one that loves adventure as much as he does. Teddy is doing great with potty training (he’s almost got it down as long as he’s taken out consistently!) and is learning the ropes of kennel training. He’s super smart and eager to please, especially when there are treats or cuddles involved. This social guy absolutely adores his humans and is a total dog’s dog, playful, friendly, and always ready for a romp in the yard or a game of chase with a canine pal. He’s a bit unsure around cats at first, but with time, he warms up and might even try to get them to play! Teddy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where he can zoom around and burn off his puppy energy. He’d also make an awesome hiking buddy or running partner, he’s always up for an adventure! If you're looking for a fun, loyal, and loving companion to join your family, Teddy might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why everyone falls in love with this sweet boy! Teddy's adoption fee is $275 and covers all age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm prevention. To meet Teddy, submit an application today at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog

Story
My daughter recieved this dog from her ex boyfriend when she was 6 months pregnant. We have been desperate to find someone who loves animals and has time and patience to train. He needs to go to a home with no kids or small dogs. Not sure how he would do with bigger dogs. My daughter already had two chihuahuas. We tried a long time ago to reach out to bully rescues and had no luck. They only wanted to give training tips. She is a single mom with a 2 year old now.

These pups are in Kansas City, Missouri too!

Story
Meet Gabby, a one-year-old rescue puppy full of life and love. She has brought laughter into our home, waking up our older dogs and filling each day with adventure. Her stubborn streak is matched only by her affection. She needs a STRONG-WILLED patient owner who can handle her energy and return her love tenfold. She is female, hear her roar! She's a digger, a chewer, and a fence-climbing explorer who needs a tall wooden fence, plenty of toys, two (2) baby pools for summer, and a warm bed inside. She loves to play catch and will bring the ball right up to you before sprinting off with it. What is yours is Gabby’s, and she won’t give it up unless you dive-tackle her. Gabby is a natural hunter; those mice don’t stand a chance on her watch! Despite her stubbornness and bark, Gabby is wary of new people in her space. Gabby is territorial and knows where her home is once she jumps the fence. Rotten dog, lol

Story
Charlie was adopted from a shelter three years ago. He is playful, sweet, and affectionate and will turn 6 this year. He loves car rides, playing tug of war with his rope toys, and fetching squeaky toys. Despite weighing almost 55lbs he thinks of himself as a lap dog and always likes to be close to his humans. He would adore a home with a higher fenced in yard. He does well around other dogs but has never been socialized with children. He does not get along with cats. He usually responds well to some commands (sit, come, stay) and is crate- and house-trained. Charlie is a bit of an escape artist and must be leashed and closely watched outdoors. He loves treats, pats, face and head massages, and brushes and is used to snuggling with his blankets at night.
