I adopted Bubba five years ago while living with my parents, where he had a large yard and plenty of space. During that time, I was able to spend most of my days with him, and he became a very loving, people-friendly companion. He gets excited to meet new people but has never shown aggression toward humans. Since then, my life has changed significantly. I now have a young son, a demanding career, and live in an apartment, which is very different from the environment Bubba is used to. After a lot of consideration, I believe he would do best in a home that can offer more space and time. Bubba’s ideal home would be with someone who can spend a good amount of time with him, is physically able to handle a larger dog, and has a house with a yard. He has a calm demeanor, enjoys being close to his person, and is well-behaved indoors. He has never chewed furniture or shoes. He can be selective with other dogs. He has lived successfully with a French Bulldog, but careful introductions advised.

Roux has shown nothing but quiet resilience and kindness. He’s currently thriving in a foster home of his own, where he enjoys peaceful days, leisurely walks with his foster dad, and long, well-earned naps afterward. Despite his size, Roux has a soft spot for the little ones — he absolutely loves small dogs and even tiny puppies. He also has “grandkids” who visit a couple times a week, and he does wonderfully with them. Roux is trusted to roam freely in his foster home and is never kenneled.
