What qualities should you look for in a new furry family member?

Welcome everyone, my name is Yoshi. I am here to talk a little about what you should look for in a new furry family member.
First, a little background on myself. I am a 5-month-old Shepherd/Pittie mix. When I am full grown, I will weigh approximately 60lbs.
I was asked to address today's topic since I personally check all the boxes of what to look for in a wonderful furry family member! So, let us jump right in.
I believe at the top of the list should be a doggo that is a great listener. They need to not only be a great listener but also knows to follow directions. For example, when they are asked to sit...they sit, when they are asked to come, they come...when they are asked to get down.... yep, they get down, (Check, check, check).
You should also look for a friend that knows where to do their business (Check).
Another good quality to look for is a furry friend that knows when it is bedtime to go in their crate and go to sleep, no fussing (Check).
Then when looking for that special companion you should start ensuring they would enjoy the activities you enjoy. For instance, swimming, car rides, walking on a leash, and most importantly, snuggle time (Check, check, check and CHECK!).
You also want them to be well socialized. What does that mean exactly, you ask? That means they should be comfortable around other furry friends, family, and visitors (Check!).
One last piece of advice. When looking for a new furry family member ensure you can love them forever. They will absolutely love YOU forever. (Big Check).
