Story
Silver is looking for her furever home for the holidays Looking for a rescue that has great basic commands? Maybe one that will stay in “place” while you carve the turkey and ham? SILVER is a 1 year old, 40 lb brindle beauty. SILVER is an active girl when she has the zoomies but does settle when her needs are met. She is house and crate trained. SILVER will do better with older kids (though if younger, they need to be experienced with her potential to jump). She’s made friends with almost every dog after appropriate introductions. She’s a smart girl, but will need consistency in her furever home. She has made AWESOME progress with the trainer and we are confident that she will do great with a confident dog in her home! At this time, SILVER is still not a small dog/cat friend, but we know her PAWfect home is out there. SILVER is spayed, current with vaccines, heartworm survivor and fostered in Gettysburg, PA. If you feel your ready to open your heart to this beauty, apply today! SILVER comes with training from Gypsy K9 Dog Training We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption. See upcoming events below where PA Caring for K9’s will be with some of our adoptable dogs! Saturday, December, 16, 2023 10am-1pm Lowe’s in East York (2449 E Market St, York, PA 17402) Please check our Facebook page closer to each event as we will update daily with dogs who will be attending. All are invited to meet our dogs, but only pre-approved adopters with all household humans and dogs present will be able to adopt at the event. Aces are larger than life and greater than mountains!  It’s true about this Ace! He’s a 5 y/o, 60 lb, bully mix. Ace enjoys daily walks and even goes to get his harness and leash when it’s time to go  This good boy loves humans; little and big. He’s working on controlling his excitement when he meets someone new because he just can’t wait to give you some puppy loving  Ace is house trained and knows basic commands as well. However, feline creatures are his mortal enemy  Ace is neutered and up to date on vaccines/preventatives. Ask to meet him today in Harrisburg, PA!  We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. Story
I'm at our Oglethorpe Street shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 71 Oglethorpe St. NW between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.Forest is one handsome fellow and he so wants to be adopted soon! He wants everyone to know that he is a very good boy with a smile that will give you the warm fuzzies. And did you see his most boopable sniffy snout? It's irresistible. Forest was found at a dog park just trying to make friends. It was clear this sweetie was lost so here he is- safe! He's been doing very well here, building his confidence. He was a bit bashful when he arrived and that's understandable. But he's been doing a couple of good shake offs, and you can see all his troubles go away. He would just love to be with a great family and begin a comfy new life - especially if they're willing to play fetch! Please visit this sweetie soon and make him happy.Head to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

Light came to the shelter as a stray and she's a bit scared of this noisy place and the new people. She has warmed up over her first week and we expect her to only blossom more in a home. Could you be the loving owner Light needs? Come to HRA to meet her and find out!Be sure to check out Light's video!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTYihIu9dv4Head to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

Story
Hello world! I'm Mammoth! Even though I'm smaller than your average mammoth, I live life in a big way! I'm strong for a guy with just 3 legs and I love to go for walks. I can be a little weary of strangers at first, but once I get to know you, I'm very loyal and will stick by your side through whatever life will throw our way! Which is exactly what I need in a family, someone to help me through all life has given me. Born with just 3 legs, and on top of that, I have heartworms. I've already had my first treatment, and I'll get my second soon! A challenging beginning to life for sure, but I know my forever family is out there and ready to help me through it all!
