Story
Kenai was rescued by us as a puppy from Texas. She is 4 years old (DOB 6/11/19). She became a reactive dog around 10 months old despite taking her to puppy classes and desensitization classes as well as socializing her through puppy day care and beyond. When COVID pandemic arrived, we had to move and lost access to the daycare. In our new neighborhood there are many dogs - she has found great dog friends, whom she is always eager to play with. However, certain situtations trigger her anxiety, and in turn, her reactiveness. Dogs that "stare her down" or reactiveness of other dogs will trigger her to raise her hackles and react in turn. Night walks, with low visibility, puts her more on edge. Despite working with a dedicated behaviorist and medication, her unease is clear. At home, and to those she knows, she is absolutely loving, sweet, and gentle (inc. kids/men). No resource issues. She would thrive in a wide open space where there are less distractions, fewer unknown dogs.

Story
Lilly is literally the sweetest, most patient, excited girl! She has always been super patient with our children (even when they were antagonizing her). She loves eating grass, going on long walks, chewing on her toys, licking hands, cuddling, getting tummy rubs, and giving kisses!! She loves to play with other dogs, mostly other girls (behaved boys are ok too as long as they don’t hump, she’s a lady lol). She has always preferred humans over dogs but has never had issues socializing . She has a bestie now who is a pup but Lilly keeps up during play . Lilz is overall a very very sweet dog. Unfortunately we can no longer keep her due to relocating to a place with no yard and limited space. We’d love for her to go to someone active as she has a lot of energy. She can laze around too but will get into mischief if not exercised. Overall she is a great family dog and a great partner and will stay off the furniture unless you allow it. She’s also a quick learner and easy to train

Story
4 Year old Trina is the epitome of happiness on four legs. One of her favorite activities is giving play bows – she's always up for a game of chase or fetch in the yard! And when she's really excited, she'll prance around with pure delight, her tail wagging a mile a minute. But Trina's sweetness extends far beyond her playful antics. She's incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than cuddling up with her favorite humans. Don't be surprised if she tries to convince you that she's a lap dog – she's got a heart as big as her love for snuggles! This smart girl is a quick learner and is already a pro at walking nicely on a leash. Plus, she's very treat motivated, which makes training sessions a breeze. She's mastered the "sit" command and is eager to learn more tricks to impress her new family. Trina's gentle nature and friendly demeanor make her a hit with everyone she meets. She just wants to be by your side, soaking up all the love and attention you have to give. Whether you're going for a leisurely stroll in the park or relaxing at home, Trina is happiest when she's with her humans. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will fill your days with laughter, love, and endless cuddles, look no further than Trina. Welcome this bundle of joy into your life! Adopt Trina and let the love story begin. Story
Meet Dixie, a brave and loving mama who gave birth to her 14 precious puppies in the shelter on the day she was to be euthanized. She was surrendered to a kill shelter due to financial hardship. Fortunately, Pep's Pals was able to rescue Dixie and her puppies 4 days after they were born. Despite this challenging start, Dixie’s gentle and affectionate nature shone through, capturing the hearts of everyone she meets. Dixie is a social butterfly who loves being around people and other dogs. Her gentle demeanor makes her a perfect companion for families, singles, or seniors looking for a loving and loyal friend. She walks beautifully on a leash, making strolls through the park or around the neighborhood a delightful experience for both of you. One of Dixie’s most endearing qualities is how she accepts treats so gently from your hand, showing her sweet and patient personality. Her affectionate nature and eagerness to please make her a joy to be around, whether you're playing in the yard or relaxing on the couch. Due to overcrowding, Dixie and her babies found themselves on the euthanasia list, but they were given a second chance and are now looking for their forever homes. Dixie has done an incredible job raising her puppies, and now it’s her turn to be pampered and loved. Dixie is ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter filled with love and security. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, and affectionate companion, look no further than Dixie. Can you show her the true meaning of unconditional love. Give Dixie the forever home she deserves, and she will repay you with endless affection and loyalty. Story
**Meet Gypsy: The Sweet, Sensitive Soul** Two-year-old Gypsy is a loving, sensitive girl who deserves the best forever home with people who will love her unconditionally. What sets Gypsy apart is her sweet, endearing nature and her special ability to make everyone feel loved. She is extremely affectionate and enjoys giving kisses, hugs, and cuddles. **Affectionate and Playful** Gypsy adores company and loves to cuddle with any person, dog, or cat she’s comfortable with. She is extremely food motivated, enjoys playing with toys (especially balls), and loves burrowing under blankets for naps—yes, she snores! She even loves playing in the water! Her activity level is moderate to high, and she still acts and plays like a puppy. She sometimes jumps when excited, walks well on a leash, and rides well in the car. Gypsy knows commands like “sit,” “shake,” “lay down,” “stay,” and “up” (for when she’s invited onto furniture). **Training and Behavior** Gypsy is in the process of house training and is crate trained, sleeping in her kennel in the living room at night. She isn’t destructive inside or outside and is a barker, but obediently stops when asked or rewarded. She lets her people trim her nails with no issues! Due to her quick overheating, she wouldn’t be the ideal hiking partner, especially in hot weather. **Fear and Sensitivity** Gypsy is fearful of loud noises, yelling, aggression, and strangers, particularly strange men (though she warms up quickly with treats). Therefore, she cannot live in a city, a very hectic household, or with kids under 12 (she hasn’t been tested with younger children & she jumps out of excitement at times). **Quirks and Ongoing Training** Some of Gypsy’s quirks include barking when she’s scared or hears a noise, and being vocal in the dog park while playing. Her foster is working on these behaviors, and while Gypsy is extremely obedient and well-intentioned, she is still learning. **Ideal Home** Gypsy would ideally have another dog and/or cat in the home, but she can also thrive as the only pet with people who are around often. She would make a great work buddy and doesn’t necessarily need a fenced yard, though it could be beneficial. A home with kids 12+ is ideal, as Gypsy needs people around due to her lack of independence. It’s believed she might be allergic to chicken, so her diet should be monitored.  Gypsy is ready to bring endless love and joy to a forever home where she can continue to blossom. If you have the time, love, and patience to give her the life she deserves, Gypsy could be the perfect addition to your family!
